I just read that a major typhoon has hit the Philippines and that there are hundreds dead and missing. Lets all say a prayer for the people of the philippines and the safety of everyone and all of the players that we love to watch. They are on my prayer list along with everybody else...................................Mike

Thanks for your prayer Mike.
The Luzon part is the one badly damage and many got killed.
And that's where Efren and Bustamante came by the way.
I came from Visayas Islands and thankfully our place is not
hit by the 3 typhoons in a matter of week that hit our country.
Reportedly there are more than 400 dead and more than
500 missing. The Quezon province is the one gravely hit and
that's in Northern Luzon.

So keep us up in your prayers.
Again thanks.

Bandido !

I hope also for Bandido aka Edwin Reyes that his alright... haven't seen his posts for awhile. I hope it's only a telecommunications problem...

It's a scary situation over there, I saw it on the news and it was ugly.

Will keep all my filipino friends in my prayers.

MJ, Edwin is ok. He lives in the suburbs of the outskirts of Manila ( near where they held the Thrilla in Manila fight).

I just spoke with Edwin and he's doing well, the whole thing missed his area, he did say he had a few suppliers that were hit, he was going to check into them soon.

Best we keep all the Fillipinos in our thoughts, those that play pool and those that don't.

though it was expressed that no thanks are needed, i still want to give one. thank you to all the caring forum buddies, may God repay you for your kindness.

i don't know the current figures but the average of typhoons we experience used to be 19 annually. it usually hits the northern part of the country where efren's and django's places are. pampanga (efren's place) is prone to flood. it's not mountainous though so i hope he did not have anything like landslides or engulfing flash flood. these guys are prominent personalities here so if there's anything untoward that happened to them, it must have been in the news already and i think there have not been any.

i'm glad to read from those who know that the particular persons you care for are ok.

yes the rest need our prayers, especially the badly stricken ones. i hope and pray that they be resilient, comforted and restored.

MY very best wishes to all the people - its time for all of us to care MORE about each other. special thoughts to MM, EDWIN, DENNIS and RONALD.

I'm touched by all the concern poured out from members of this community. So many things to say zip through my mind but 2 words sum it up, thank you.
