prayers needed

My prayers are with you both

I've known Steve for over 30 years and he can count on my prayers for both he and Sherry. May God Bless you both on this Christmas Eve and Sherry have a full recovery real soon.

My thoughts are with you all. I may not know you but I've been through similar situations at this time of year. I'm wishing the best for you.

Ade.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sherry and her family. I know she will come out on top of this. Please keep us updated.

Pryers Must Be Working

I talked to Steve yesterday (Christmas Day) and he told me that they had managed to get Sherry's blood pressure back to approx. normal and she was resting very comfortable. Unfortunately, she was not going to be able to see a doctor until Tuesday. That either means that they don't think that she is in any immediate danger or it's a very bad hospital. I prefer to believe in the the former rather than the later.

When I talked to Steve today, he told me that Sherry had been moved from ICU and put into a room. The doctors were reviewing all the test and he should know a lot more later this afternoon.

Thank God, things are looking better every day, but keep those prayers going. Recovery will take awhile.

It doesn't exactly have to be either. Because of the Christmas holiday, we had limited access to a "treating" physician along with everything else from the medical insurance company to after care info and choices. We basically had to wait out the holiday to get a thorough answer from the "treating" physician as opposed to the on call doc along with getting insurance & after care info. Medical staff & insurance companies celebrate Christmas too and their staff is down to a skeleton crew at the hospital and the folks in the office for all other info (insurance, etc) are at home trying to enjoy their holiday too. I've been there, done that. I would expect that Steve and the family will be able to get more info starting tomorrow.

Having been through the exact same thing at the exact same time of the yr, I should've mentioned something to this effect for Steve's benefit in order to give him a heads up. Steve, sorry about that. If there's anything you think I might be able to answer... things that you're going through and you're not sure if it's "normal" or not, just shoot me a PM or ask it here. I'll be happy to help as best as I can. I know this is an extremely difficult and stressful time... If I can be any help whatsoever, please do not hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,
Timberly

Update On Sherry

It's Wednesday 12/27/06, 1:10PM (EST) and Steve just called me about 30 minutes ago with some really wonderful news ! He will be able to bring Sherry home today from the hospital. The doctors are expecting a full recovery within a shot period time. We all know how much faster you can recover at home than in a hospital. Steve said he had her out of the hospital bed and doing a little walking up and down the halls yesterday and it appears that all your prayers have indeed done wonders.

Sherry's mother is here from Indiana to be with Sherry atleast through the middle of January to help out. Thank God for mothers ! With Sherry's mother being here, Steve will be able to attend "The Derby Classic" the first of the January as he had originally planned. Everyone going to the Derby Classic, weather you need some expert cue work done or not, stop by Steve's booth and say hello. Steve is a wonderful man and would love to meet everyone who shares the the love of our sport as he does.

Thank you all for your prayers and thank God for taking care of a dear lady.

We've been friends with Steve & Sherry for many years now and either one of them would do anything they could to help a friend or or even a complete stranger in need.
After just recently winning a battle with cancer now Sherry is faced with yet
another hurdle. She is strong person and will bounce back from this as she is overdue for a good roll.
It really feels good to get a card from someone you know but I can't imagine how one would feel getting a card from a complete stranger wish you a speedy recovery.

Anyone that would like to send a card to Sherry here is the address:
She won't be taking any calls until she's out of the ICU.

prayers answered

Well TY Barb for that, it is vm appreciated.

Sherry's speedy recovery can only be attributed to all the
prayers received from all the fine folks on this forum.
The doctors were baffled as to why this even happened to Sherry in the first place (as the test results did not jive with her condition) but even more so as how quickly she bounced back.
This is the second time within 2 years Sherry overcame 2 very seroius health episodes. I guess you don't have to play pool to get a good roll.
Thanks Again to everyone!!!!!!

Have a Happy & prosperous New Year!!!!!!!!!
