HEY GUYS IM LOOKING TO SELL OR TRADE A JERRY FRANKLIN ERA PRE DATE SOUTHWEST CUE. THIS CUE STARTED OFF AS A PLAIN MAPLE CUE WITH A WRAP BUT WAS LATER STAINED BLACK WHEN IT WAS REFINISHED. I HAVE A LETTER FROM LAURIE FRANKLIN CONFIRMING THAT THIS CUE IS INDEED A SOUTHWEST BUT THAT IT HAS BEEN "ALTERED" WITH THE STAIN. CUE COMES WITH (1) ORIGINAL SHAFT 12.5MM AND (1) NEWER SOUTHWEST SHAFT WITH DIFFERENT RINGWORK 13MM. WEIGHT IS 19.9OZ-20.1OZ DEPENDING ON SHAFT. CUE IS STRAIGHT TOGETHER AND APART AND PLAYS LIKE A SOUTHWEST CUE SHOULD. ASKING PRICE $1200 DELIVERED NEXT DAY. AS FAR AS TRADES ILL CONSIDER ANYTHING CAUSE IM LOOKING TO DOWNGRADE. After Buffing & Polishing This Cue it was discovered to be a Basic SouthWest Birdseye Maple Cue that had been painted black and $old for a much higher amount of monies. The cue was stripped of the black paint in an effort to return it to a Birdseye Maple Cue again. -- Alex Brick stained the cue black as it can be seen now because too much of the previous paint could not be removed ...

Yes I Got This Cue From Roy Malott In A Trade. Roy Guaranteed Me That It Was A Franklin Era Southwest Cue But I Sent It To Laurie Franklin Just To Make Sure. I Have The Letter On Hand Dated July 6, 2007.
 
It is indeed a SW, and @ that price, if someone doesn't mind its poor lineage, it is a great price for a SW
 
Hi Ron,

I think it would help your sales if you had better pic of this cue. The cue look great and I'm sure it play great. I have the exact original cue and they play great like all franklin cue. Good Luck with the sales.
