Preacher Don Feeney to be at Derby City

I just got word that "Preacher" Don Feeney will be at Derby City this year. He is 90 now and this might be his last road trip. He will be there on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th.

If anyone who knows Don or has enjoyed his videos is around, he would be pleased as Punch to see you.
 
Bob, would you ask the Preacher if his real name is Dorian Grey?
 
I was thinking of "The Preacher" the other day after reading something in one of the threads here, I was thinking I had seen him not that long ago, then I realised it was 1997.
The year Leil Gay won it.

It's funny that he was about the same age I am now the last time I saw him, he sure looked a heck of a lot better than I do though, probably still does at 90.
 
I think I had one of his books or videos when I first got into pool in the mid 90s. I definitely remember seeing him referee some of the 1992 US Open 14.1 matches I have on video from Accu-Stats.

Don hung out at Carlo's Billiard Academy in Downers Grove through the 90's.Very nice guy and extremely knowledgeable.He was an avid golfer at that time as well as I recall.

He played Dallas West in a straight pool exhibition match at Cue Time Billiards back then.This was back in the days when Gold Crowns ruled.....seems like centuries ago!
 
I just heard that Don now plans to arrive on the 25th, TSA willing.
