I know 5 pro friends who confirm they didnt get any money yet from the event as they are still undefeated in last 16. The local promoter Predator worked with ran into weather and financial troubles.

The players are not paid yet because they don't have a final finish yet. They will be paid once they place (which will be at the next tournament) and their travel to the next tournament will be paid for. The weather made the promoters have to take an entire day to relocate tables to the new venue and many players were there from other countries with already scheduled return flights so they are playing out the tournament at the next one. The final 16 not being paid yet has nothing to do with any financial troubles.

If I had to guess, i'd say the local promotor won't come up with that cash. It would have to come out of his own pocket more than likely. My bet is on Predator ponying up when the local guy doesn't. I'm sure Predator doesn't want to get involved in a tournament that stiffs anyone..

The players were told they would get at least 1k which is their minimal prize win until the next event. June would be the Brazil event. Now they been told definitely not happening this summer at all. Sounds like a raw deal when u paid all that money to get to spain.
If there isnt any $ troubles the players should get their 1k at least for now....the event was over 3 months ago

sounds like the local promoter there just didnt kno what he was doin. not easy to pull off a major event. no doubts predator will make good on the money eventually
