Here is a picture of my new Predator 8K-4 with the new Vantage Shaft that I won here from AZBilliards and Predator.

Since I won such a nice stick, I decided to put it in an Instroke 3 X 7 case.

Predator also sent some iron on patches, 1080 Chalk and a nice velvet lined soft case with this.

Thanks Predator and AZBilliards for the nice Christmas Present. I am off to the pool hall to try it out.

I'm usually not a fan of Predator's cue line, but that's a nice looking cue!
I'm also not a fan at all of the UniLoc joint, but I'm sure it plays great and you will enjoy it!

I shot with the 8K-4 with the new Vantage shaft yesterday. The deflection was great. With a medium stroke on a 9' table I had about .75" deflection. This is about an inch less deflection than the Meucci PP4 with the Meucci Pro shaft gives me and about 1.25" less than the Black Dot shaft on the Meucci.

Overall it has a pleasant hit and sound. It hits very solid and seems to put way more spin on the ball than my Meucci.

I will keep you updated....

Congrats on the win ! Nice to see you post on what your take is on the advantage shaft. Keep the updates coming ! thanks

I played in an 8-Ball tournament last night and won it. The Vantage shaft plays well. I am more accurate with the 12.9mm shaft on the Vantage over my Meucci Pro Shaft which is 12mm. The Meucci draws a ball a little better, but has more squirt, so I am not as accurate. Just my observations.

Great cue you got there . Haven't had the opportunity to test out the New 8K models and Vantages shafts but have been hearing great reviews about them .

Glad u like it told u it would be better then a meucci congrads again shoot well

I just sold my 3-months-old P3 Black with 314-2 and now waiting for my new 8K-4 with Vantage shaft! Really excited about it and glad to see your reviews. Thank you sir!

I have been playing with the Vantage shaft for about a month now and it does play very nice. I like the solid hit it gives. The shaft has very low deflection and it plays very consistent.

It has a little more solid hit than the 314-2 and a little more deflection, but not much. I seem to be able to put more English on the cue ball with the Vantage, but I am not sure if that is due to the medium predator tip on the Vantage and the hard Kaumani tip that I have on the 314-2... So English may be due to the tip.

Wow! a vantage shaft!..

With all due respect..... "little more deflection?",

A) does it deflect MORE than 314-2 / Z2?
B) does it deflect LESS than 312-2 / Z2?

is it A or B?

if it's A then its an issue... coz i'm looking to buy a vantage shaft
