Hello players,

Last week's field was extremely tough. I'm very humbled by all who attended. Thank you again for all your support.

The Predator 9-Ball Tour will be making it's first stop in Connecticut this weekend!

Stop # 10 Will be taking place this Saturday & Sunday June 21st & 22nd at Rack 'N Roll Billiards in Stanford, CT and once again, we will be using 16 Delta 13 racks provided by Terry Taggert of Delta-13.com.

I'd like to publicly announce that the tour is becoming very successful and we intend to do all we can to continue that success and growth to provide the players with the most opportunities to play and succeed. We are proud to have such a wonderful following of dedicated players who exhibit the utmost professionalism. We appreciate this respect for the game and would like to note that players who do not show respect for the sport, their fellow players and the tour will not be tolerated. It is our privilege to have you all play on the tour, but it's also your privilege to play on this tour. As such, we will not allow someone to disrespect a fellow member of the tour and/or exhibit qualities that would hurt the tour's image. Thank you for your understanding.

New: We are adding ANOTHER stop!! A-B-C-D Players!!
The Predator 9-ball tour has listened to the players and has now added an A-B-C-D event to the growing list of events for this season. This will be a handicapped event. All players are either A-B-C-D players, no plus handicaps. All C-D players will play one another in the opening rounds of the tournament, while A-B players play each other. Only in the semi-finals and the finals will the 4 handicaps meet for the title.
The event will take place at Raxx Pool Room, Sports Bar & Grill on the weekend of September 27th & 28th.

Very Important: Remember collared shirts required. No Collar, No Play. Sorry.

C/D Handicaps The top finishing C/D handicap player will receive $100. We value these players who come out to support the tour and face the tough competition the tour brings and would like to reward them in their efforts to improve their games. (Note: Minimum 10 C/D players must participate in the tournament. Player must get past first 2 rounds. In the event of a tie, the fewest racks earned by the C/D's opponents will be the winner. Reporting scores to the tour director is the player's responsibility. Please be certain Finnegan records your score.)

For the ladies - Again, we will also be awarding the top finishing female an additional $100 so ladies, come out and represent! (Note: Minimum of 6 women must participate in the tournament. Not applicable to Top 10 ranked WPBA members. Women can only win the highest finishing female or highest finishing C/D.) Not both.

REMEMBER: In order to pay the normal entry fee at the Tour Finale, you must have competed in at least 3 Predator 9-ball events during the season. Otherwise, you will pay double to enter plus the registration fee if you are a new player.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Check on the spelling of Stamford, as some my be confused.

I play at Rack N Roll billiards every six to eight weeks and take advantage of their practice schedule from noon to five for eight bucks.

I am in town when I am visiting my mother in law, who lives in Greenwich, CT. A lot of times, in the afternoon, I'll park at the Stamford mall, shop and eat, then go back to my car to pickup my cue and walk over to Rack N Roll for a few hours.

Very nice, big place. I walked in to practice one day a few years ago, only to find the place packed, not realizing it was a sponsored event, Viking I believe if I remember correctly.

All the shooters were good shots; I don't remember seeing more than a miss in twenty minutes!

If anybody in the area ever wants to get together, let me know.

Thanks for the correction Gregg. I hope we see you there! It's the tour's first stop in CT!

Hi, I'm curious if there will be additional tables available for regular play as well, or is the entire room / tables shut down to only tournament play?

Also, do you know anything about room and the equipment ?

Also, I'm wondering if the music is very loud? Is it more of a nightclub atmosphere or pool room?

thanks much :)

Rank N Roll is first and foremost a pool hall, and caters to pool players. They have some arcade games up front with a full bar, decent bar food. None of this interferes with the playing area that is clear out of the way from all of this. And I would say that they will not be playing music during the tournament. And when they do play music during reg. hours, it's not too loud from what I remember.

Ga Young Kim and X PAN. This could be interesting. If they catch a gear no one will like drawing them. Johnnyt

Thanks for the update Nostroke. Johnnyt

XTP wins her 2nd-GYK struggling down 3-0 to Victor Nau. No further upsets.

Mika playing Bobby Blackmore starting now.

Edit- Its looking bad for GYK-down 6-1. Mika and BB 1-1

Miss Kim breaks the nine 1/4" from falling to go 6-5 but no ball falls and Victor quickly combos it in to get to the hill 7-4. Mika up 4-2.

Update-GYK to the loser side-Mika 5-2. Gonna take a break for a while.

Gregg...I'll be in Stamford the evening of July 2nd, as I have a private exhibition the next day in Norwalk (staying in Stamford). I'll also be staying in Cherry Hill on July 6th, as I have an all-day lesson at HotShots that Sunday. Maybe we'll get together one or both of those places!

who is earl h?

Earl Herring from the Newburgh area- Was near a straight pool legend around the 70's 80's regionally, gave up the game for at least 12-15 years. Maybe back 2 years now.

XTP comes back tomorrow on the losers side- she lost to Tony R.

GYK is out, losing hill/hill to Jeremy Sossei in the last match of the evening. Carelessness/error cost her the match.

Bobby B coming back also, Mika, Tony R, Spain, Fingers and a few others i cant remember also. It looks like Mika or Tony again IMHO.

That's a shame. Maybe her only transportation was with Kim or she didn't feel comfortable w/o Kim. I don't believe she speaks English well. Johnnyt

Bobby B over V Nau
BB now down 4-2 to Park
Lilils beats Altomare 9-2
Sossei on hill vs Herring
Mika 5-5 vs Vidal (winners bracket)

Thanks for the updates, nostroke. Rep to you.

By the way, how is the room for this tournament? I believe this is the first of the Predator tour being there.
