I just got my new "Air Jump" in the mail. It is a dynamite Cue, especially for any price. I tried one of these at the BCA & couldn't wait 'til I got my own.

I recently designed an all wood cue like this, with a removable handle. When I saw the "Air Jump" I knew I had been upstaged. Although my Cue looks nicer & works about as well, there is no way my Cuemaker would sell a Custom Jump Cue for less than $275... so I am out of business on those puppies.

The "Air Jump" is a marvelous piece of engineering....
 
I too own the Predator Air Jump. I was completely unable to jump a ball using other jump cues and I guess because of the design of the cue and it's light weight, I can now jump ball consistently well. I think because of my small hands and height, but I still struggle when the cue ball is very close to another object ball and/or not right on the rail, but the Air Jump has even helped there as well. I'm haven't perfected yet, but it's a definite improvement and SOOO much easier to use than other jump cues!

i own a predator air too. i got it last october i think. 1 month a fter it came out. and this thing is incredible on jumping the cue ball. it helps me alot specially when you are short.lolz.

one hell of a cue =)

The Air was a ripoff of Ned Morris' AirTime jump cue. Boy, those Predator folks could wrap a turd up in a wood casing, and probably sell it. "The shaft's distinct odour comes from the gases released during the deflection compensating process. The smell means the cue is working. When the smell goes away, it's time to replace your shaft."
 
I had one and I thought it jumped like crap... not nearly as effortless as my other jump cue that I bought for like 25 bucks.

NED'S CUE IS AWESOME. I HAVE TWO, AND WOULDN'T TRADE EM FOR ANYTHING. I AGREE THAT THE AIR, IS JUST PREDATOR HALF ASSED ATTEMPT TO COPY A GREAT CUE.

I TRIED THE PREDATOR AIR, AND IT'S THE THIRD BEST JUMP CUE I'VE TRIED. THE "DEUCE" BY KILLER MILLER IS THE SECOND BEST (AND BY FAR THE STRANGEST DESIGN)

Daryl Peach used a predator air in the World Pool Championships and in the Mosconi Cup.

The only thing that I can see is that both cues come in 3 pieces, what other similarities do they have?

THE BACK ENDS ARE HOLLOW.

I KNOW YOU HAVE/HAD ASSOCIATION WITH PREDATOR, BUT YOU CAN'T TELL ME THAT YOU DON'T SEE THE SIMILARITIES.

The back ends are hollow? I have had both and didn't think either one of them had hollow handles, where did you see this? Regardless of my affiliation, past or present, I have never seen a cross-section, diagram or anything to show that any part of the handles are hollow.

In fact the 3rd piece on the Stealth cue was very heavy, Ned gave me the one I had for years when he designed it and partnered up with Mark at Stealth to manufacture.

Hmm.....3 piece jump cue. Really original idea. Who made the first one of these? Oh, yeah. NED MORRIS.

I could care less about the design of reduced end mass and blah, blah, blah. The basic design of the 3 piece jumper was Ned's. Predator took his idea and spun it. Titus came up with the laminated shaft. Predator spun it. Can't wait to see what idea they steal next. Maybe the weight adjustable cue in .2 ounce increments? Oh, wait. Joss came up with that years ago too.

Forearm and shaft are hollow. Back piece is solid Pau Ferro or some form of rosewood for extra weight.

I liked mine for about 4 days. Then, as John Barton pointed out, I noticed there were a few shots where the regular heavier jump cue performed better than the lighter, flimsier Air jump cue. Since then, the HYPE Air has been gathering dust.

So does that mean everybody that makes a jump/break cue spun/stole the idea from the first guy that made a 3 piece jump/break cue?
