Predator Arena Setup

I was sold the first time I played on it. Blue is traditional and green is even "more traditional" and they are both good, but for my money both "powder blue" and grey are easier on the eye. Who knows, maybe one day in the far flung future snooker might even go ungreen.
Mid 60's I played at a Brunswick room. White Crowns with Gold cloths and loved the look and playing on it. Never liked green or blue but that's me. Powder blue would be a great choice. Unless we have a home room we play on whatever is in front of us. I was not sure about the Grey but I swear by it. I really like it.

I did not like that gray cloth on TV in this event. It did not bother me at the Mosconi. The difference for me is at the Mosconi they use the red and blue colors heavily on the carpet and in the background. The background here was a little too plain with dark carpet. It just looked really bland to me. I have played on gray and it didnt really bother me, but as a viewer here I just think they need to a better job of making it visually pleasing to the viewer.

very good point. it looked a lot better at the mosconi!

i like playing on grey cloth, ten years ago i used to play tournaments on grey tables and it was great. that room then changed to red and i hate it. have to use red chalk too. grey is not as good on TV as it is irl. i prefer blue.

Grey cloth has been around for years. It looks good. Imho, it's the best colour for a bar cloth as it blends right in, and green and blue both look a little over-stated. It seems to be working pretty well on TV too.
I've got grey on my Brunswick and love it :)

I've never seen any pool played on it til MR adopted it. Been playing 40+yrs and have never encountered it. Only green and then blue in last 20yrs or so. I don't like anything about it. Just more of EmilyF. and MR piss-marking their territory. It
You should get out more.
30 years I’ve never seen it in a pool room either. I know it’s been available and I’m sure people use it for there home room but it’s not something you lol

I don’t mind it but I was streaming the match to my tv sunday and my wife walked by and said what’s up with that ugly ass grey cloth lol. Grey seems to be the new popular color for everything . It’s look at as modern lol Before I left lowes anything that came out in grey for kitchen or bathrooms seem to sell out fast 🤷🏻‍♂️

I bet Emily's carpet doesn't match the drapes.
The entire arena was just plain ugly. I love how they matched the gray baby chairs and the cloth.
It was bad, the players looked depressed, I think I saw Albin get angry, his cheek twitched once.
Leyman was breathing heavy due to color anxiety.
The space was out of proportion, you could have played football in a pool arena, the intimacy was lost.

Hottest car color is a weird grey. On a Macan it's called Chalk. Interesting that grey definitely is not colorful but popular...as much as I like on a home table it only works on a black or dark grey frame table. As for TV I agree it's not very attractive.

Was watching Leave it to Beaver.
Wally was dressed up in a suit, going to a party.
Mom said "Wally, why did you change suits''. To which he replied, ''I didn't like the grey suit, they wear that color allot, at funerals''.

The Predator Cues Premier League Pool are not using Predator Arena Lights or Predator tables, so I wouldn't call this setup a Predator Arena.

Ball color is just ridiculous. And without commentary if you just started watching you wouldn’t have any idea what’s going on.

I am awaiting the day the pool world comes back to common sense and adopts our traditional ball colors back. The whole "Aramith TV Set" was the first step in the wrong direction. The Aramith Duramith tournament set with the standard color balls should be the set of choice unless Predator or Cyclops, etc etc are needed for sponsorship deals. But even then, they should revert to the standard colors we all grew up with. With the advances in tech for video we aren't going to be mixing up the purple 4, burgandy 7, and black 8 anymore which if I recall correctly was the original reason for the initial changes. These new colors and sets are awful in my opinion and I can't stand the fact that a marketing gimmick has snowballed into the ridiculous colored sets we use on TV today. The casual viewer who is not up to date has no clue what these colors are and therefore can't at all speculate postion play while watching as they have no clue what ball is next in these rotation games. It is somewhat acceptable in 8 ball matches as the groups are clear but the new Aramith Black set is horrible even for 8 ball as all of the black on the stripes is painful to see.
