Ive been tinkering around with break cues again. This time, I got a BK2. After trying different breaks for several days, I realized what I knew before I bought it.... and that is, I HATE non leather tips on a break cue. I took off the BK2 tip, leaving some of the carbon fiber pad, and put a really hard pressed Sumo on there.
Anbody else have a BK2 or other phenolic tipped break cues, and opt to go to leather instead?

I use a Cuetec w/SST shaft for breaking. It has a LePro tip on it trimmed down fairly short (close to the ferrule). It breaks okay, not great, but pretty decent. I recently purchased a couple of phenolic tips from one of the internet distributors (Ozone Billiards I think) so I could put one on the Cuetec come re-tipping time. I am a little afraid that the hardness of the phenolic tip coupled with Cuetec's reputation for coming apart (or so says many here on this website) is gonna be a disaster, so I'm a little leery about doing it. Maybe I should just stick with pressed LePro's or pressed Triangle's ???
