I bought BK3 yesterday, while still at the shop I took a couple break-shots and managed to crack the shaft, it delaminated, length wise. Not as good as breaking QB in half but still. :)

Anyone else has broken a cue?

BTW. I got a replacement shaft, the cue breaks lights out, easy to control the whitey.

Had a similar issue they called it abuse on the shaft and they wouldn't replace a 1 month old shaft.

Sorry, to hear that, that's terrible. My accident was in front of the dealer, she just gave me another shaft.

I had a problem with 2-week, 314^2 as ferrule broke, they took forever to fix it apparently to make it perfect. When it arrived, it was the worst job I have ever seen, plus they cut off my old tip and glued it on top of the badly installed ferrule. When I called to complain, got insulted.
 
have a 314-2 shaft replacement after the 1st one developed a crack down the shaft, the replacement now has a crack after 3 months of use....I got a ob+ classic shaft last month and will not even bother with returning the 314-2 again.....the quality of predator, imho, has dropped below acceptable for me. I'm sticking with the ob for now.
 
Customer service, in my opinion is the most important part of a company. When I hear that a company doesn't back up what they sell and provide the service needed to the customer, I don't buy from them. These may be isolated incidents, but if not, someone in higher management, better get a handle on it.

Or just use a solid maple shaft.
None of this would happen.
People have been using those for decades and seem to be playing pretty good game with them.

I was using a playing cue with one of my break jump tips on it to break with and had broken with it for a couple of years without issue. Then while practicing at the cue club in Vegas, I break and it sounds a little funny. I split the shaft (non-laminated) on both sides. The splits were not joined in the middle, but it cracked through the tip, the ferrule and the shaft on both sides about three inches down and a quarter inch deep.

I'd never seen anything like it before.

It happens. You move on, luckily yours happened on a new production cue so you could get yours replaced easily.

That's not necessarily true, look at my previous post. It was a non laminated non low deflection shaft, solid all the way through...

Oh how I long for the single cue case for one butt and two shafts. Break with cue off the wall or use your player. No jump cues thank you. Just let me dream please. Johnnyt

And in baseball, let's bring back the "glove" instead of these massive scooping machines players use these days. Real skill was involed when you fielded a ground-ball with a glove.

How about longing for the days when sex was safe and racing was dangerous.
