Predator break cue best offer, BK2

12.35 shaft with quick release joint.
This cue sells around $340.00 new. I'd like $225.00 shipped.
The cue is in great shape. Minor dents 95% condition.

Comes with a blue rubber grip that slides over the butt.

No, it has a parabolic taper. Factory 12.35 at the tip, 13.15mm six inches from the tip, 14mm. twelve inches from the tip. Hits hard.

Wait a minute, gracio! I also didn't think those specs sounded familiar. I just got off the phone with Predator and they assure me your figures are incorrect. Predator says the BK2 has a Pro taper (not parabolic), and is 12.75 mm at the tip (not 12.35 mm). Further, they stated that 12.25 mm is the cutoff point for warranty purposes. They conclude that someone turned down the shaft you're offering for sale. I would still be interested in purchasing the butt if we can find common grounds.
 
If he takes the butt, I maybe interested in the shaft for the right price. Uni-loc? What effect does a turned down break shaft have other than not warranty?

Scott has been kind enough to post this for me because I have no feedback and never have sold anything on here.
The shaft has never been turned down
I have had the shaft cleaned 4 or 5 times since new.
A friend of mine ordered the cue for me 1 yr ago.
I paid 275 for the cue and feel the asking price is not out of line.

The shaft hits great. It's never been turned down.
The exact measurements:
from the tip back
tip-12.36
2"-12.38
4"-12.70
6"-13.10
8"-13.43
10"-13.73
12"-13.93
14"-14.17
The cue hits hard.
We don't know why but this is how the shaft was built. If it was turned down the numbers would be more consistant.
It has the BK2 tip and ferrule.

Dawg, in an effort to get this closed, what do you think would be a fair division of costs between us for each half? I think Predator shafts are worth as much as the butts in these lower priced cues. What do you think - each of us pay fifty percent of the total ($115 each)?
 
I really doubt there is any thing wrong with this cue and I would be willing to trade for it if your interested just send me a pm . I already own a BK2 and have owned a few in the past IMO they are about the best breaking cue on the market .

If you want a fair trade let me know we can work something out im sure .

Hello Larry! Not sure exactly what you're saying. It's a simple matter that Predator BK2's come with a 12.75 MM tip and pro taper. If you want it, buy it, I believe the man wants cash after talking with him. That's why I'm trying to get Dawg to comit to one half. If you want the cue, the man gave his number (and he seems a reasonable gent), call him, is my advice. But don't say you doubt there's comething wrong with this cue - that is BS - is that somehow supposed to endear you? The fact is, he had it cleaned up, not turned down, and is getting a big surprise now.
