Predator Cues w/Revos Now Selling For Thousands of $$$ - Why?

Hmmm I’ve been thinking of picking up a mezz sneaky. They make a good looking cue and I’m interested to see how they hit.

I love Mezz. Been using their Cues for awhile now. They have a good variety of cues and shaft combos. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Why so much? I'll never know cause I won't pay 500+ for any shaft. It's not gonna happen in my lifetime. I sincerely doubt it's ability to make me even 1 ball better. I've hit/played a few racks with a 12.9. Just not impressed by them. That's just me. I will say I've beat guys who are using them. Again, I'm not impressed. If you love yours...good for you. Matt D.

I completely agree with everything you said here. I would buy a used $3K Tascarella long before I even thought about spending $1K on a Predator. As far as Lou saying we would look like the "cool kids" at the pool hall with a black shaft, eh, Im not so sure about that one, but I agree, they do have a look about them.

not a fan of revo personally. but i can see the benefits, and it's hard to deny that predator is in pole position when it comes to technology and development. now they have a short window of opportunity before the competition brings their versions of the revo. surely prices will drop with other CF alternatives on the market

didn't know the revos were made in boston.

To me, buying the latest and greatest cue is beneficial to me for many reasons, although i still haven't gotten my hands on one yet but am really trying to :(

- If you like predator cues and are loyal to that brand, then its an obvious choice to choose the top of the line predator shaft with a nice predator butt.

- I love the look of them personally. I have never been a fan of wooden cues design wise. I always thought they had an old, technology-less look to them. They all look the same with their same inlays, diamond shapes and patterns and design just wasn't for me. My first "real" cue was a P3 onyx with a 314 shaft, which i loved, but the wooden shaft always seemed out of place. Sleek design, minimalist with black and silver. Once again, look is all personal preference and i like the style of a black and grey butt with a carbon fiber shaft, as do many other people out there.

-I feel that i can't, and don't want to, go back to non-low deflection, since playing with ld predator cues, so the lowest deflection cue on the market that also happens to be the most technologically advanced and durable shaft on the market appeals to me in that sense. As well as the on piece ferrule-less design.

-All of the proven advantages aside (however small to you), just having a cue that you feel confident with is a game changer. If you want to act like pool isn't at least 50% mental, that's on you. I know personally, that i can go from running 3 packs in my 9ball league to losing to someone who can't run 3 balls if its just one of those days. Beat the ghost 7-1 one day, lose 3-7 the next. Pool is a game of inconsistencies, if i can level out the mental game by getting rid of the equipment excuse and having my confidence at a high level, while having one of the most reliably hitting cues on the market, i feel that my money is well spent on a cue that i like in every way, shape and form. People probably don't crap on people for spending $30,000 on a custom cue built by Caesar himself with no additional playing benefits, just happened to be made by some cool dude who spent many moons making it.

That's my two cents and why i am ready and willing to pay $1000-1500 on a 12.4 revo with a nice butt.

They don't make a full splice sneaky from what I remember. They all have an a-joint. but still great hitters in general. Not too different from the EC-series; what you would expect from a good maple forearm cue.

I miss the old ZZ-series sneaky (laminated handle) though. Hard-hitting and looked like a Keith Josey sneaky.
