I've heard of a new predator jump cue.. can anyone tell me if this is true? And when?

When I was looking for one a couple of months ago I wrote them about their jump cues. The customer service rep emailed me back and said they were in the works of developing a new one and hoped to have it ready to sell around July.

That being said it's almost July and I haven't seen anything about it.

Not that it would make a huge difference if you are waiting for a new Pred Air but the Poison Black Belt is a good jumper and might take the edge off while waiting for the real deal.

I'm sure it will be out soon. With the demand for jump cues I can't imagine them staying out of it for too long.

I took the advice of other threads on here and called Steve Lomax and ordered one of his jumps. It is awesome but I thinking about selling it.

I'm waiting on it to save some money to try and get a cue and jump cue together.

If you are really looking for a good jump cue don't get a jump/break combo. It won't break as well as a dedicated breaker and it wont jump as good as a dedicated jumper.

Yes

100% concrete yes, they are coming out with a new jump cue. I asked Predator about a month or so ago and was told they were trying to have it ready to preview to their dealers along with all the other new releases for the BCA Expo in Chicago next month (10th - 12th). I have to imagine "trying to have it ready" HAS to mean it will be ready by then, but who knows...

Poison is really good and made by Predator, Allison Fisher played with it at the EXPO in NJ. Also Dominick Esposito who endorse Predator was a spoke person for the Predator Air. He now sells Jester. The Jester jump cue is very good!! You can do all types of jumps with it and in my opinion the best one I tried.

If you want the break & jump cue there is also a Jester break/jump. It is very good too, but the jump cue is much better for aiming on those long jump and very close jumps precision. The break I still like a heavy cue but I still use the break/jump combo bc is my playing cue for APA. I break, jump, and play with it in APA. I don’t use it for the 9ft tables where they allow jump cues.

It's so good you're thinking about selling it?

What's so good about Lomax jump cues anyway?

Esposito will be in my town in a few weeks ill have to see his jester jump cues.

Agree with that. I'd say they're the best $75 spent in pool. Not great at distance, however.

You cant go wrong with Jester!! The jump cue is three piece for short and the extension for long jumps.

After about 4 tries at the EXPO I made an almost impossible for me super closed distance jump clean over a ball. I have no doubt the Jester Jump can easily perform any type of jump long, short, extremely short, masse, draw, ect... second to none.

There is also the Jester Break/jump. The short handle that comes with the break Jester cue makes it a good jump cue too for those looking for a Jump/break combo. You can do the long jumps with the break cue and switch the handle for short jumps. It is very effective too with the short jump handle for extremly short or long jumps. As a regular length cue it only weights 13oz so you can do short jumps too!

I have both and use the break/jump as a playing cue for APA as I can break, jump, and play with it. When not playing APA I prefer just the Jump Cue as it is fantastic and play with my main playing cue. I only break with the Jester in APA bc is the only stick I bring with me. I still like a heavy cue for breaking, I only use the Jester Break/jump cue for APA as an all around cue and it is awesome!

Hope that helps!

I called predator today and all they told me is they are working on a jump cue due out by the end of the year and it will be 3 piece construction as was the Predator Air jump cue. MSRP will be $199.00

Yep

Yep.. I have (15) of them on order from them... Thinking around December some time, but not concrete sure of it yet..

You have never owned a Alex Brick jump break I take it. Because I've owned several dedicated break cues and jump cues and Alex's jump break combo is probably the best of both worlds. It breaks a lot better than my BK3 and jumps way better than my predator air. But that's just my opinion.
