I have a seperate cue for breaking and jumping - that way I am not sacrificing anything. I have done a couple of 1/4 ball jumps with my z-shaft about 8 inches away but would never try anything more than that with it. I am currently waiting for my Petree break cue as well as a matching Petree jump cue. They will both match my player(in looks). I am interested to see the new Predator Jump cue as well. I am sure they have taken deflection and all of those things into consideration. They are not dummies. This is why jump break cues baffle me, you want low deflection for a break cue and high deflection for a jump cue, so j/b cues are forced to compromise.
BTW, I digg the avatar...
Tony Longoni said:i shot with this jump cue for quite a bit at valley forge. it will not be "low deflection" as you need deflection to jump a ball, thus why it is nearly impossible to jump a full ball with a predator shaft on a regular cue. whoever said its all black with the logo on the handle is right. i can tell you that it jumps very well! i was doing dart jumps with the object ball about 12 inches away and a ball in the middle without a problem after about two or three attempts. this is not the first time predator has made a jump cue. about 3 years ago they made an annoucement to all of their "vip" players and customers about an upcoming jump cue to be released. some of us demo'd it and after a few months of play they canned the idea because.... to be blunt... the cue didnt jump! but the new one seems much better! it is very, very light,, i forget the specs, but i remember that it was considerably lighter than most jump cues. i believe the tip is the same as is on the bk2,,, but i could be wrong about that.
I currently have the stealth AT-1 and like how it breaks into 3 pieces. Do you have any idea what the shaft thickness is on the Predator Air?I rack balls said:I tried out the jump cue and it was perhaps the easiest jump cue I have used. It has three sections like the stealth jump cue. It is very light and is a dark gray color with Predator Air on the side kinda like the Predator BK2 is on the BK2. I am going to get one, my Mezz Air Shooter ain't cuttin the mustard.

Interesting. What kind of wood is it? and does anyone know the shaft diameter? (approx.)Tony Longoni said:yup, all one color
Tony Longoni said:bval, going of memory here (which is not very good) i dont remember them saying it was cored with wood at all, i believe it was a composite material if i remember correctly. im sure someone will correct me if im wrong. tip diameter looked to be about 12.75-13mm. and as light as it was (i want to say about 4oz) i dont think it could be wood cored
