Try focusing on the content of my post. I said that "although Canada's landmass is largely uninhabited". I didn't claim that Red Deer or the surrounding area was. Just giving a sense of perspective on that although Red Deer is a small city, among driving distance to other cities. It's still a piss poor choice even in comparison to where you may end up if you just threw a dart at a Canadian map.lol ... Red Deer (about the size of Green Bay) is an hour drive to a city of 1M people to the north (larger than Austin Tx or Denver) , and a 1 hour drive to a city of 1.3M people (about the size of Dallas Tx) to the south ... not exactly "uninhabited".

It would have taken extremely minor thought to have this event in a local more suited to fill the bracket.
Once again if we consider that that portion of the country is primarily a BB game, so local talent would be low. The organizers should have considered placing the event in a spot where it could have been fed by multiple and large populations. Clearly Niagara Falls would have been the best choice in this regard. Seconded by Toronto, which could have been trumped by Montreal. The 9ft pool scene in the Western Quebec area is strong.
