Predator p2 or a custom downey

Two local guys have cues for sale a Predator p2 or a custom Downey

Same price on both. Downey has two shafts. Wish i could meet them at a pool hall but they live to far apart. Witch will hold value better, kind of hit . I have no idea. Any thoughts appreachated

Well I gave this some thought, Predator Cue Made in China with thousands of others just like it or a 1 of 1 Custom cue made by a known cue maker who makes great cues, that really is a hard choice!!

You are wrong. P2 cues were the last ones made in USA. All the new ones (including the P3) are build (or should i call it "cored" :smile: ) in China.

I was just about to say that. i'm partial to the P2 but the downey is a great cue too

I was leaning towards the Downey from the beginning . I have two Jackson's and a predator 5k-2 with 314 2 . Got to aggressive on the lathe cleaning the 314 now the shaft is to thin for me, great for cue ball action but makes long shots harder i have to really bear down on them, so i don't think i would like the z shaft much. love long shots with the Jackson but for a lot of spin i need to hit harder for same or less action than the 314. I'm sure its in my head and stroke but it is what it is .I'm always working on both but taking a long time to fix and keep it fixed is even harder. Thank You all for your advise

Thanks for your advise, but how much do you want to bet that P2 cues were made in China?

If you want to bet just state how much and this is what I will bet on:

Predator doesn't build cues, if any P2 cues were made in the USA they were made by another company for Predator. However, P2 cues were also made in China and that is what I will bet you.

No brainer here, Downey by far. Great cues made by a hell of a nice guy.

No question, the Downey. Troy makes as good a cue as anyone out there.
