Predator P3

JoeyA: I believe these will be %20 off the MSRP of Predator at Seybert's as are all the other Predator products.

I am curious about the review! These are just not my style, but that should not change the way you feel about it so I frankly hope that if you purchase one of these cues in the future you will be very happy with it.

Availability

Just a little info right from Predator: The P3 will NOT be available for purchase at the BCA tradeshow. They will have some demo cues but they will not be for sale.

They will take orders at the BCA tradeshow from their dealers but will not ship any cues UNTIL October 1, 2008.

The other thing that I didn't ask about was the moisture system they have in place. I understand how the new technology shirts and other wearables pull moisture from your body through the garment and release the moisture into the air but am having trouble understanding how it's going to pull moisture from your hand and transfer the moisture to the second layer on the cue then that will send the moisture apparently back into the air, keeping your hand dryer.

As much as my hand sweats here in New Orleans, it might soak a moisture collector like the second layer and increase the weight an ounce or two before it removes it. :D

With such a fancy weight adjustment system, I am surprised that it can only go down to 18.5 oz.

My thoughts exactly

more glue...more joints...more things to go wrong...

This is kind of what I was thinking, I wonder if the cue will break down over time, maybe by design, they are using the GM engine methodology to keep us buying a new cue every 100 thousand balls or so:D :D

In related news, Cuetec will introduce a new wheel that rolls better than previous designs in early 09

I am really dissapointed with looks of this cue.It looks like a sequel to poison than a predator p2. P2 looked far better speically the curly maple one.
they have tried a futuristic look and think the tradtional looking cues are very nice to play with.30 piece or 100 piece is not going to change how it plays except when they have the predator 314/3 shafts.

:(

Where's the AZ REport on the P3 cue?

Someone has to be at the EXPO with a laptop. One AZ, not in this thread mentioned that he would be there and get us a report.

JoeyA (just knows that this is going to fix his stroke problem :D )

Predator will make a killing on these, the markup must be enormous

That would be OK, too just as long as there is an increase in performance. I don't mind paying for R & D or an idea just as long as it increases my pool performance. Only time will tell. Where's that expo report. :D

I'm curious as to how they hit, but I think there will come a time when you won't be able to improve anymore. I mean there's got to be a point where anything else you put into a cue is placebo...JMO It can't help that much, and especially to pay $850 for it!

I think they reached that point about 100 years ago. Seriously, anyone who gets this cue will get it because deep down, they want the Star Trek of pool cues. It looks nice. I wonder if it will eventually come with a velcro wrap.

I dono, I can't seem to find anything with a hit compareable to the p2.................

Yes and if you get the P3, you'll be ready for any Star Trek episodes that need a pool player.

I was wondering what you were talking about until I went to the predator website, Wow...... just wow. I almost have to wonder if it follows the lines of the old hustler move of walking into a pool room with a cue that looks like a total piece of shit to try and generate more action. If it is it passed with flying colors
