I saw more than one ball hit a Full diamond above the corner pocket and drop.
These tables were too loose for pro play vs (US Open 9 Ball/Atlantic City) but the match times were good.

Good job choosing races.

An object ball contacting a cushion a full Diamond above the corner pocket and still dropping doesn’t really mean much unless one knows the pace the ball was rolling at and the angle at which the ball entered the cushion at.

seen it happen on Diamonds too when cloth is new/slick. if the angle is really shallow and cloth is new it happens. no big deal.

Yet I saw countless rattle out because they were tight. What a conundrum.

Think it's the new cloth and bit smaller shelf that caused balls to drop not so much the tables. I've seen Diamonds play pretty easy for couple of months till the cloth wore in. Happen in every tournament where new cloth is used.

We as fans need to decide if we like American style pockets or not. Tight pockets with fresh cloth will always have balls sliding in, even if 4 inches.

I like American style pockets. Chinese 8 Ball bores me.
