Predator Pool Table?

Huh?? You ever watch pool on-line at all? Damn near everything you watch has 'Predator' plastered on the players, the banners, etc. They are a global company and i wouldn't be surprised if their sponsorship/promotional budget isn't bigger than Diamond's.
They probably put 10 times more money in the game than any other company is my guess. They’ve been buying multiple full page ads in all print mags since 1994 or so whenever they launched. They’ve sponsored dozens, maybe a hundred professionals since then. They sponsor almost every tournament under the sun, even the regional events. They also sponsor and are often the title sponsor of many international events. Diamond puts on the DCC in their back yard and their sponsored player is Brumback.

Agree. Not knocking Diamond in any way, just think that Predator is every bit as big if not a bigger supporter of pool. Both of them put B'wick to shame these days. It would be nice to see Brunswick sponsor a big event again but since the sale i don't see that happening any time soon.

Easy to market a name!!

Talking out your backend again, you're not on the inside, you have no idea what you're talking about!!

Change the subject as usual. The point is that Predator promotes/sponsors pool on a scale equally as big if not bigger than Diamond. Are you privvy to the promotional budgets of either/both co's? Kinda doubt it. Who's talking out of their ass here??

Does Predator build lights? Do they make the cloth they sell? Do they make the pool tables they're about to sell? NO, they just market their NAME on those products!!! And yes, I'm aware of everything Diamond does!!

It's all about sales for Predator, nothing more! You want to make a bet, you'll NEVER see Predator pool tables used in the US Open OR the International Open 9 ball events????

Double density steel doesn't make any sense. Almost all grades of steel have roughly the same density. Maybe a few percentage points difference from the most dense to the least dense. "Double density" must be bullshit.
Mallory or Tungsten is roughly twice as dense as the common low carbon steels and alloys but nobody in their right mind would use it on a pool table. It kind of surprising that some of the more expensive and tighter tolerance alloys have less density than cheap and common low carbon 1018.

If the Predator table division succeeds, it is almost predictable that they'll crush their nearest competition.

Also where it is made and how readily available it will be in the US.
Availability, price, and performance will all make a difference to the success of their table efforts. IMO country of origin will not. Predator has been since the 90’s the best selling cue brand for serious players. At least half of that time period the cues were not made in the USA. Serious pool players are already used to buying their expensive equipment from offshore manufacturing.

Are you suggesting that Predator, a company which has spent the last nearly 30 years developing an uncompromising reputation for quality, service, and business/professional relationships would, all of a sudden, jump in bed with some low rent table building sub-contractor just so they can get their name in front of all those international subscribers to Matchroom (whatever), suffer embarrassment and failure, and have to slither back to Jacksonville, licking its wounds, and trying to salvage their pool cue business for the few loyal buyers they might have left?

Not sure if that was sarcasm or not.

I expect the Predator table to be the best in the business. That is their whole company motto. And they have executed on that brilliantly over the past 30 years.

If they have the table made in USA, China, Vietnam, Spain, etc, it won’t matter, it will be the same quality anywhere. Because they will be the ones setting the quality.

My point in the message you quoted is to the American buyer, even the serious pool fanatic like us on this site, USA built vs offshore won’t make any difference to their sales numbers. There might be a person here or a person that won’t consider a table if it’s not USA made, but those people today in 2021 probably make up less than 1%. So there would be no sales volume difference.

:devilish:Yes, of course it was sarcasm.....and I knew you would pick it up with ease.

Perhaps I'd be a bit impolitic to suggest that only an idiot would think that Predator would establish an international business relationship with some small-time, two-bit loser. Is it fair for me to assume that your 1% assessment subsumes the idiots?
