Forgive me, this thread got bumped and I only refreshed myself on the first post that said the WPC would have Predator tables. Did that actually happen? Or did they get switched back to Diamond when all was said and done. I vaguely recall something like that happened. I only recall Predator tables at the spot shot 10 ball events. I may be misremembering....

Oscar's Hard Times in Sacramento has a lone Predator table in the sea of Diamonds.

Rarely see it used by the regulars. One of them told me it sucks.

You guys have me curious. I'll have to give it a try and see how it plays.

Enjoying their $110 per month membership dealio.

Would love to hear your feedback when you get a chance to try it out.

Spent a couple hours on the Predator today.

Facts and Impressions.

Has drop pockets with foam at the bottom.

Seemed to roll just slightly faster than their Diamonds.

Unfortunately, it's not level. During slow shots near the corners mainly.

I have never experienced level issues on any of the Diamonds I have used here. I assume that's a setup issue, not the table.

Slow rolling the cue down either of the long side rails proved it.

Nothing negative noticed for cushions and banking.

The Predator pockets were as tight and unforgiving as the Diamond tables. Lol

Something slightly different about the side pockets. Not sure what. Edge of slate slightly different? I shoulda looked closer and compared.

In one area down the rail, the cue kinda made a few micro wobbly jags left and right on its way to the Corner. Nothing on top of cloth I could feel.
Possibly particulate under the felt? Glue?

All the tables in the joint have near new sets of the latest Predator balls. Measle cue with triangles.

The Sea of Diamonds on this side of Hard Times.

Lone Predator on the right.

Other side has a mix of Diamonds and others.

Then there's the Tournament room loaded up with 9 Ds.

A Friday around 1pm.

I expected to see a bunch of Pro-Ams not the Diamond Professional

If the Predator table is the only unlevel table in the room, and the room is owned by a table mechanic, well, I guess that doesn't bode too well for the table.

<=== And I'm hoping they succeed.

Admittedly, I don't know one table from another. A player told me they were "Diamonds". You guys know your stuff.

Locals also tell me Oscar's father is the mechanic.

no offense brother but if you admit to not knowing one table from another you just might not be the guy to do a table review. just sayin.
