Predator Revo Just Shaft

Does anybody know when Predator is going to start selling the Revo shaft by itself? They said at the expo last year it would be around this time.

The price is going to be Something retarded like 500 plus. Predator is out of control with their prices. I no longer support them. I have an old 314 precat and I'll never get rid of it bc it's turned down and it has a minor roll, but as far as buying their new stuff definitely not. And the all black shaft is not distracting. I was actually one of the first to be able to try it bc I know the molinari guys. Looks cool, hits ok. Is it worth the price? Definitely not. I don't care how much "technology" is in it, if mosconi can run 500 balls with a big ol wood shaft why can't I. Practice, pracrice, practice.

That's exactly right.
Aside from the fact that I hate the feel of LD shafts that's one big reason not go get it.
Long as you practice they simply don't do anything the other shafts won't do.

Agreed. Tried them and couldn't see that they were any better than hard maple shafts which is what I play with. So many players swear by their LD's though.

Got to love the grumps...

To answer your question, I think it might be at SBE since that was where they launched it to begin with. There's some billiard show in China right now (guanzo something or other) but I don't know how to get any information on it...

A REVO shaft just sold on Ebay last Saturday for $575..

That is a handful of $$$ just for a shaft..

JC..

There are actually people on this website that pay thousands of dollars just for a custom cue...only to remove the shaft and put on a Predator 314-2 lmao!

That is a lot of money for a shaft but think of it this way, you'll never need another backup shaft. How many shafts/cues have you owned in your life? Add all of that money up.

Exactly. I know 2 guys with 1k jacobys that immediately spent $300 to have a 314 fit for their cue

I have a Revo as a 3rd shaft I ordered on a custom cue with a radial pin (I guess you gotta know the right people). I prefer maple but the Revo is nice once you play with it a while and get used to it. It also has other advantages like durability and a very smooth feel through the bridge hand. I think it is ugly but I do like the contrast of the black shaft and whitey when down on a shot.

I am waiting for the blu tooth shaft. you just lay the cue on the table and use an app on phone to shoot. IPhone only, no android version.

Let's start a go fund me.. We can make that happen. Everything is better with Bluetooth.

My guess is it will be released for individual sale at the 2017 SBE.

Since the LE pred/samsara cue w/ revo shaft costs $150 retail more than the same LE pred/samsara cue with vantage shaft, it seems like the Revo shaft will cost $150 more than a vantage shaft, so a uniloc revo should be about $495 retail, $445.50 online price. A non-uniloc should be $475 retail, $427.50 online price.

When did Samsara make a butt for revo?

$1000 is way more (X2) than BB charges for a ferrule-less shaft unless maybe you are referring to some outrageous matching ringwork that would cause the price to spike up to $1K.

They were $600 when I last inquired but Tony said they were having issues finding the right shaft-wood which might have caused a price hike?. In the end I got a sturdy tight, straight grained maple ferrulless shaft from Michael Vollmer for $350 that hits like a dream. Most likley using similar construction as BB as Tony and Michael liaise regularly. I had the Revo shaft and compared both shafts and not much difference IMHO.

He is insanely picky about shaft wood (and everything else). When I was at his shop last year he had a very huge "not good enough" pile and a very small "good" pile. Same with wraps...
