I know this question has been asked many many times before, but I just think it's not exactly like the way I am going to ask it. so please bear with me... firstly I apologise for my bad english, if you don't like those who doesn't speak english very well pls stop reading now ;)

Ok to the subject, I love playing with my cuetec, I used to play with fiber shafts for a long time until I tried Vortex shaft from cuetec and it's great. Today i've ordered a Predator Shaft. but I am curious of which of these predator shafts will work for me (as I been playing a fiber shaft for so long)

Now I know every player has his own taste and stuff, but just choose your taste. ;)

1- Predator 314-1
2- Predator 314-2
3- Predator Z-2

Just click on the option in the poll. if you got enough time to explain a little I will really appreciate it.

well either one is fine with your Cuetec, Z would be better for some peoples..but it really depends on how you play and the way you play..i use a 314 and sometimes i use Z and both are awsome..

I like the Z2 better than the 314 or 3142 However, Im using Tiger Products "X" Shaft exclusively with amazing results curently..

Just keep in mind that whatever you choose you will have to get used to it. Some long time players have a lot of trouble making the transition, but once they get used to the new shaft they like it.

Predators

I have both 314's and 314 2nd gen shafts for my 2 cues and I prefer the 314 over the 314 2nd gen. They all play well, but I do have a favorite shaft which I use most of the time and it's one of the 1st gen predators.....

Snooker

For those who play snooker I think the Z-2 shaft is better. Snooker uses a narrower shaft which is what you get with the Z-2. If you are not used to the narrower shaft it will give you problems. If you are it is one of the best shafts out there for you.

hmm well some people will naturally take a liking to a certain shaft in some cases, but i would say that pretty much the second gen 314 is an improvement on the first. so that narrows it down to either the second gen 314 or the z shaft. the main difference is the taper. the 314 is a traditional style pool shaft with a pro taper, and the z shaft has a conical taper which doesn't lend itself to a closed bridge as well. plus it has a smaller tip. a lot of snooker players like the Z shaft for pool because it's less alien to them as a normal pool shaft.

In my opinion it shouldn't be match the shaft to the cue, it should be match the shaft to the player. A joint is a joint and can be made for your cue just fine. What shaft do like the play of? That is what you should ask yourself. JMHO

PS: I play a Z2.

I use a 314-2 on my KLEIN and its the perfect combo for me. I love the Predator product - BUT - I did have a brand new one show up for my SW, and it had a little warp to it. Still plays great.....but kind of disappointed in their quality. Anyhow, I don't play with the SW so the shaft sits in a case, but Predator could exercise a little bit more quality control in what they send out. The 314 on my KLEIN is flawless though.
