Predator shafts more consistent?

I was looking at the boards searching about Predator shafts, and I have noticed that recently there has been far fewer people saying they are low quality? Do people feel they have improved? Until recently I feel there have been too many complaints for me to invest in having one customized to fit a 3/8x11 pin.
Any and all comments are welcome.
thanks in advance,
Will

Beats me, but The Predator Group are good folks, service oriented, and with a good track record. If there were a quality issue, I am sure they will take care of you.

i think the only reason people complained about the quality is because they moved the factory to china. it's only a matter of time before china get's the kinks out of their production process and starts putting out the same quality shaft that people associate with predator shafts

I think my Predator 314-2 China shaft plays great. I also have an OB-1 and like it as well. I like the weight/feel of the OB-1...but still get all of the low deflection characteristics I like. Can't go wrong either way...I can switch back and forth with no probs.

Predator shafts

I've been playing with predator shafts for a long time. I have two 314 shafts with special ringwork and five 314-2 shafts (three 5/16x14 and two radial pin) and I have never had any issues with the quality of my Predator shafts.

I wondered if the 314-2 shafts, when they came out, would be better than the older 314 shafts that I had and the 314-2 shafts I have play better. I did a test on my table where I marked 2 spots for different cut shots with English (1 for the object ball and 1 for the cue ball) and I would shoot these shots over and over comparing the 314 to the 314-2 aiming the exact same way with English and the 314-2 hit the shots more consistently for me. It's not scientific, but it proved a point to me on which shaft I think plays better. Now, I only play with the 314-2 shafts.
