predator sneaky pete

It's still uniloc.

The shafts that comes with the new sneakys are the thin collars... like the P3 shafts.

I'm using an older 314 with the silver ring and it fits fine.

Hit is the same... looks better than the older ones... IMO

Predator released the new line of predator sp.... http://www.predatorcues.com/predator_cues_sneaky_pete.php
what are the differences between the new line of sp and the old one ( like the sp4rj, sp4rjl) ? Difference in hit?
I saw they switched from the uniloc joint to a phenolic joint and also the look changed.

My old (2 years) Predator sneaky pete keeps coming loose after 10 or so hits. I can't stand it. I sure as hell hope the new cue doesn't do this, for what ever reason.

There is a new weight bolt adjustment system.
The points are longer
There is a plastic part between but and shaft

None of them actually qualify as a sneaky pete--much too ornate.

have you played with them? Did you notice any difference in hit compared to the old ones ( SP4RJ)?

A couple of things to check for:
- check the threads in the joint make sure none are bent
- use some rubbing alcohol (99% preferably) and clean the inside of the joint with a q-tip.
- taking a look at the facing on the shaft and butt end of the joint for any gunk.

I've had 6 or 7 of the 4 and 8 point pred sneaky petes over the years and the joints have never come loose on me. It's actually the opposite for me, they're always extremely tight.
