Predator tables

That’s basically half of their business strategy. They just license out existing products, slap the predator logo on it, and call it the best thing since sliced bread. See: tables, balls, chalk, etc. They’re largely a marketing company that chose the billiards market.
Even some of their cues aren't made by them.

I think I’ve said this before and I’m a fan of predator but the table are just them trying to add to their market share by slapping their logo on something.

Example.. I managed at lowes for years. One of the best mixers you can buy that women love and last forever are kitchen aid. every thing else that says kitchen aid is mostly bs they slap their name on to take advantage of. Women will get their husband to pay considerably more for kitchen aid appliances. All they are is whirl pool. They fancy up the shelves .. better lighting . Slap a kitchen aid sign on it and she will pay $1000 plus more for it Over that same whirl pool fridge. There is nothing wrong with whirl pool appliances but that always felt like ripping people off lol

I was looking at these tables before I bought my diamond and honestly I don’t understand for a second why someone would be $500 more for this than a diamond. I’m ok with how they look but just looking at it it doesn’t look as solid of a piece of furniture as my diamond. Which to me is what it comes down to. you need a well built piece of furniture to hold that slate for decades upon decades of use and that predator table looks like something you buy at your local swimming pool store that also sells stuff for your game room with a predator sign on it . 🤷‍♂️
Its the lights. The lights add $500 to the price.

Isn’t the playing area just a little smaller than either Diamond or Valley?
If you are talking about bar boxes Diamond 7' tables are 40" x 80" and Valleys are 38" x 76", not sure about Predator, the last time I looked I couldn't find any mention of play area size.

This is correct and I have searched trying to find another table the same dimensions as diamond. Only a 7ft gold crown, which I didn't know they make is 40x80. My 7 ft Brunswick contender is 38x76.

Definitely smaller playing surface on the 7 footer predator table than diamonds. I believe it’s 79x39 inches on the predator. I like how slick the surface plays compared to my diamond, is it just because of the cloth ? I have 860hr on my diamond. Maybe should change it out to the predator one.

I played on a new 7-foot Diamond a few months ago. It did not bank short. Played similar to the GCs and other tables I've played on.

The Diamond 7-ft and 9-ft tables use different cushions. Could that be the reason? (I have never played on a Diamond 9-ft table.)

I am sure this has been asked, but why hasn't this issue ever been "fixed?" Does it even need fixing?

Obviously good players can adjust to any table as long as it's predictable, but I would like to think angle in equals angle out on any brand. Or is it just on bank shots when this is not the case?
I bought a new Diamond Pro-Am 9 footer in Nov. of 2022.
It banks exactly like my previous gold crowns. It does not bank short at all.

That’s the smaller Valley- the 88”. The more standard Valley is the 93” that is 40x80 cushion to cushion. I was looking for the Predator dimensions a minute ago and they all seemed to be outside dimensions- I wasn’t finding the playing area

If they are the same as the SAM 7ft it's 78.74x 39.37 or 2m x 1m

The ksteel 9 ft is 50x100

I'm assuming the Predator is the same as that is who makes them.

There’s two 7’ GC in Vegas at a pizza/bar in China Town. Only in Vegas can that happen🤣

I see Predator has teamed up with Yalin as the title sponsor for a few years. I wonder if they will work on a table design with them also. I think Yalin could probably make a better table than Sam.

Isn't it Yalin that makes the Brunswick Gold Crowns now?

The Valley 88" and 93" refer to cabinet sizes, not playing surface. Once again, the Valley 93" is 38" x 76" playing surface, the 88" is even smaller and considered a 6 1/2' table, I'm not sure of the cushion to cushion measurements. I think they call it a Pony?? As far as I know Valley doesn't have a 7' table the same size as a Diamond.

Everything I have seen on the internet, including threads here, indicates the Valley 93 is 40x80 playing surface. Do you think it is 8.5” from the nose of the short rail to the edge of the table? Because that’s about what it would be with 76” nose of head rail to nose of foot rail right? I don’t have one handy to measure and I’m not going to try to link different references.

You page RKC. 😁

I'd be pretty surprised if the Valley 93 is 4 inches shorter than the Diamond. I've read differing accounts on that. What's your source on this? Have you physically measured them?
