Predator World 8 Ball Championship (Nov 19-22), Puerto Rico, Winner $60K

interesting safety rack between filler and shaw. filler won that but overall i think he had a weird strategy in breaking, trying to create clusters. shaw isn't weak in the moving game.

That was an interesting game to watch, with alternate break I don't think we see such determination to win one game. Giving up the break had to also be on their minds. Cheers,

Zielinski could see Shaw again in the semis
he seemed a touch worn out when they faced off last month
I predict a fresher better result for the kid

definitely. i like that much more than runout 8-ball. the european 8-ball championship is boring to me as they runout all the time.

Pretty strong medicine by Team Poland! Been a long time since we've seen four of the final eight in any World Championship coming from the same country. Maybe the Philippines did it, but I can't remember when. At Large?
Amazing how strong Poland has been in the past month alone.

At the just-completed Puerto Rico 10-ball, Maciol won silver. At the International 9-ball, Zielinski won silver. At the American 14.1, Zielinski won silver and Fortunski won bronze.

The Poles play all the games well. Zielinski, I sense, is the one with the brightest future.

I have to say Shaw is slight favourite to win whole thing -former E8B world champion he knows the patterns and can outshoot any of the those young Euro shooters . If he wins this, he would have won most majors (2) this year which is a good achievement considering that the elites struggle to win even 1 major in a year.

The Poles are in pole position to make their mark in the majors -I think this year Wojciech became first Pole to win a major (World 10 Ball).
Poland has important match vs Mexico at 12noon (about 1.5 hours from now) so the 4 Poles better concentrate and not get distracted by the match :ROFLMAO:

Wow, Alex Pagulayan just conceded to Shaw in the middle of a game. It was 5-1 in Jason's favor and Alex said the pain was too much. Very sad for Alex.

Wonder why there are so many gaps in the streaming? Maybe they were unsure of exactly how long each of these 8-ball matches would take since its been a long time since its been played in a tournament format? Not complaining, just curious.

Agreed. I'm sure Jayson hated that Alex had to withdraw. Any idea what happened?

after the 10-ball event in puerto rico he went for some hiking and hurt his leg jumping on/from a rock.

he has been in visible pain in every match, limping and sometimes even using the cue as a crutch. he has been shooting well enough (knocked out kaci and lil ko) but moving real slow between shots. i think the shot clock got him

was the same for their world 10-ball championship so it's not the discipline. they seem to want the main two streaming matches to start on even hours.
