Predator WPA World 10 Ball Women’s Championship 2023 (18-22 Oct 2023), Austria, Winner $50K

Has Chezka slowed down? She's still fast, but not lightening fast like a few years ago. I wonder if she was coached to take a breath.

I thnk Chezka received a lot of guidance from other top Filipino players. She's now more concentrated and not rushing too much to shoot.

Congrats to Chezka. I remember the first time I saw video of her as a 13 year old (shown below), I knew I was watching something special. To be honest, I thought she would be world champion much earlier. But now that she knocked off her first world championship, I see many more to follow. She might be the one woman that could actually snap off a fairly decent sized men's event.

Who does Chezka remind you of the most? Natural to compare her to Shaw and Filler since they are all quick-paced south paws, but as PoolBum mentioned there is a trace of Strickland in her once she gets into high gear. There is no woman that shoots like her.

Great player, but I don’t like the way she very noticeably comes up with her entire body before she contacts the cue ball on her break. I assume she does it for added power, but with her fundamentals, I really don’t think that is necessary.

But she wasn't breaking with as much power as he usually does, so you may be right that it isn't necessary for her.

was the commentator for the finals
mispronouncing chezka’s last name
or is everyone else wrong?
The filipino channels say

sen TEE no

Not that I would have pronounced it like that, unless there’s yet another spelling SNAFU like Dennis Orcullo.

And now I see another Ph YouTube video that says

sen TEHN no

which is how I would pronounce it.

How did the commentators pronounce it?
