Predictions for Earl vs. Mike?

I think b/c it is rack-your-own Earl is going to get schooled.
Also, it doesn't hurt that it is MD's home room, and a 4.5 X 9 table. Advantage Earl if 5X10 being racked by a ref.
I'd love to see Earl hand out a beating but I don't think it's in the cards this time.
What say you folks?

I am sure MD looking forward for his fish! he is gonna have a good dinner

Good match

Its just psychlogical warfare on themselves. I hope they both keep it together and jyst play jam up. If that happens I would take MD. He just has to fade tge rolls.

When do they play and whats the game? I want to sweat this one.

Table one at Snookers is very tight. It depends on which Earl shows up, might be a close match.

I hope Earl knocks him out in the 5th rack, in true fashion that will make Dennis Hatch smile from ear to ear.

Wish I was gonna be in Providence tonight. Start out with a great dinner at Pane e Vino on historic Federal Hill. head over over to Snookers for some libations and watch Earl and the Cannon Ball duke it out in what promises to be an epic event. finish off the evening into the wee hours at the money pit known as the "foxy lady" where the entertainers are personally selected by none other other than Mo Vaughn. What could be better?

Alternate rack (no big packages from Mike) - Advantage Strickland

9' table - Advantage Dechaine

Long(ish) race - Advantage Strickland

Extremely tight pockets - Advantage Dechaine

Knowledge and experience - Advantage Strickland

Home court - Advantage Dechaine

Ability to fade unlucky rolls - Even. Neither man can do that.

Two great players, and on paper it looks like a pretty even matchup, but Mike knows that table like the back of his hand, just like Shane knows the TAR table and studio.

My prediction:

Dechaine 21, Earl gets taken out in handcuffs.

I'm concerned, with their personalities and sharking, that this may end in a nasty confrontation...yet another black eye for pool.

But then maybe that's just what most folks want. Look at the TV screen for a couple hours...America just can't get enough arguing, fighting, blood and guts, violence.

I heard a pool player remark, after the last Mosconi Cup, that, "Those Europeans are lucky we didn't take them out back and beat their asses!"

I'd bet on more arguments than break and runs in this match :D

I was thinking about driving over for this but Friday night at Snookers with this match will be no parking and not much space to watch this. Will be watching the stream with my son though.

Mo used to live in Braintree, MA where I grew up. He was a cool guy. Used to hang out and play basketball with all us kids.

Wish I could make it for this too!

You forgot Rack Your Own - Advantage Dechaine, he's one of the best rack mechanic.

I don't believe Dechaine is in the same class as Earl. However, he may have a chance since Earl is playing two against one, Dechaine and himself.

Possible melt down in the 6th rack for Earl, down hill from there, or Dechaine gets shell shocked right out of the gate and starts shanking balls all night. Should be interesting.

I like Mo as well. He was a regular at the foxy lady for sure. He has a company these days that provides very well managed and maintained affordable housing. Mo has done well after baseball

Earl by a lot. I'm guessing these two are going to get their yaps going something fierce at each other during the match, too. Much good shooting and sharking to go around.

I hope they're gonna be miked and the volume turned way up.

This should be epic. Ain't too bad that it's free, either. Coulda bought a new cue for all the money I dropped on PPV the last couple years.
