i am an older person who likes tables to play like they did in the 60s
i like the size pockets and not so fast cloth, not slow but not super fast

what kind of cloth should i buy that is not greased lightning

i just bought a table with 860 simonis and it is so fast that i don't feel comfortable

what would be slower than this , but not the real slow stuff

Championship Titan is what you're looking for;)

Not a mechanic, but what about Mali cloth?

Mali actually closed up shop earlier this year.

When I bought my table, it had Mali cloth on it. As mentioned, it played very, very, very slow. I promptly replaced it with Simonis 860.

If the OP is interested and will pay for the shipping, he can have it. It's blue, enough for a 7 ft table without rails as I wasn't skilled enough to be able to do rails by myself. I can get pictures of it when I get home if interested.

He's got a 9ft, so your cloth won't fit. Mali cloth is or was I should say, was to inconsistent for my liking, as you were never sure when you ordered some, as to which mill it was going to come from. Example, Stevens made the best non-worsted woolen cloth on the market as far as I'm concerned, but they were bought out by Forest-man cloth, which then later sold out to Mali, who also bought the Warren cloth company as well. So, Mali didn't ever really make pool cloth that I'm aware of, just the companies they bought, but Mali did sell their cloth under one name...you just didn't know who was making it, so I stopped buying it.

Championship however makes the Titan woven wool cloth, which is now as far as I'm concerned the best non-worsted wool cloth on the market. It don't play very slow, but not as fast as a worsted wool cloth does, and drawing the cue ball on it is as easy as it gets. When Championship shaves the Titan down to almost nothing left but the weave of the threads, they call it Mercury Ultra, but it starts out as Titan...as far as I've been informed, but the Ultra plays faster, only it don't last nearly as long as the Titan. If I didn't want a worsted wool cloth on my table, my only other choice would be the Championship Titan.
