Hello All,

It's been a while since i have posted anything on this site. I am writing a paper and wanted to gather some information based on the below poll.

What is the preferred table of choice for professional tournament play.

The poll is aimed at the professional, high level player.

Thanks to all those who voted.

Are you asking spectators or professional players? If you are asking the spectators, you may want to ask about table characteristics rather than brand.

this is not worth doing because Diamond is the only choice possible

Personally i don't like Diamond tables but I don't care what the pros play on

You'd probably get a much more enthusiastic sampling if you just sent this Poll to Diamond's corporate headquarters.

The only 3 options necessary for this poll would be Diamond, Brunswick Gold Crown or Rasson. No need for Olhausen to be included.

I agree. Maybe toss in Dynamic for Euro AZ members as those are everywhere in Europe. Olhausen is no longer(ever??) a player in pro pool. I guess the old TofC in Conn. used Olhausens.

Good point.

This poll is useless as worded, unless we have a bunch of pros here that I'm not aware of.

Gold Crown is the best table, hands down it made the pool world a big thing back in the 90s, diamond then later came and pool died, now producers are struggling to sell PPV and are happy to have 15 viewers who pay for 30$ tournament pass, it's sick.

Well it's not the 90s and a Diamond gives a gold crown the 7 it's simply a better table period .. just where in the 90s were you watching live streaming matches ppv I'm all ears here ,, By far and away streaming PPV is at a all time high and if your including, Head to head matches like what Roys Basment is putting out it's way higher

HUH????? You're blaming the Diamond table for the downturn in pool? Pool's success in the 90's and its current state were not caused by the tables being used. If it wasn't for Diamond Billiard's promoting the game the way it does the state of pool would be even worse.

I thought the OP was asking what "professional" tournaments should be played on?

Are you a pro? If not, how can you answer?
