I received yesterday my first Prewitt - a cue that I purchased from Don Sureman. I've been in the market for one based on everyone's amazing feedback and the praises that Ed has been receiving for his work.
Also, watching a long time ago the "Whats in the case segment with Oscar Dominguez" I could never forget the gorgeous work Ed put into Oscar's cue. So, as an avid person that will try pretty much any cue that I can afford, I pulled the trigger on this one.

Very nicely figured Cocobolo, with an Ivory joint, Delrin buttcap, 2 shafts with Ivory ferrules and an elephant wrap.
19.3oz in total. Standard Joint Protectors from Ed.

Paid a small fortune for it, not brand new but in 99% condition.

Anyway, I had the chance to take about 20 shots with it last night, the feeling is amazing. Stiff as I like it, the shafts appear to have a lower deflection than Predators ! A gorgeous cue, what can I say, I let the 2 pics I took in a hurry do the talking

Congrats on your new cue. I play in a league with Don in Michigan and wanted him to bring it with him last night so I could try it out and see if i liked the feel of it. Then he told me it was in Canada sold. So I hope you enjoy it, I will have to wait for Don to come up with another one so I can give it a try. They really are very pretty cues.
Good Luck

Its always good to hear good reviews.I love to hear people that like what they get.
Incidently your cue is very attractive
best wishes

Chris, I wanted that cue but you wouldn't go below $1800 :)

Anyway, I played yesterday with the cue for about 5 hrs. It is really nice. The deflection of the shaft is different than Predator, Mezz or OB1. I found myself missing shots just because I put too much left or right. I guess it's a good thing as it will take me back to the basics.

Nevertheless, one of the best purchases of all time.

Just to clear things up, Chris asked me to post on his behalf. He didn't want to ship the cue out of the US, with ivory while understating the insured value of the cue. He actually called me when it happened and I agreed with him. It has just as much to do with his rep as it does making sure that you don't get screwed by customs somehow. Anyway, glad to see you found a cue. He's still selling his and has it posted for less than $1800. Take care.

Never meant to put Chris in a bad light by any means hence the :) face. I understand that some people wont take that risk and Im more than fine with that. Im sure he will find a buyer, Ed's cues are the nuts !

I understand. Just wanted to clarify sir. He's probably going to take a loss on that cue but he's trying to make way for some bigger ones. To be honest, I wish that Prewitt were in my budget. When I hit balls with that cue it just hit so firm. Anyway you ever make it out to Chicago, pm me or him. Take care.
