Eric Cole grinded for fourteen years on the mini-tours before finally getting through qualifying to play on the PGA Tour. Now, he's making millions! His parents were both successful pro golfers, Bobby Cole (from Great Britain) and Laura Baugh.
 
few realize how much the top pros in any sport play and practice all their lives to get that good.

Playing pro golf is a figment of an over amped imagination. How many millions of dollars have been spent sending little Johnny to expensive golf lessons only to have him fail and waste years not pursuing a REAL career? Same goes for tennis and base ball. Pool can be enjoyed and like the other sports requires great skill to perform well. So those who feel that golf and the other sports are more worth while get your second mortgages and send little Johnny and Susie to their respective lessons.
 
but also popular sports lead to some success for the better players. most pro level golfers get to be head pro at a course and make a good living.
a pro pool player gets to make minimum wage at the counter in a pool room.

pool can grow big if it can get the public interested in it. as it is now only those that play a lot are interested.
