Pro Billiard Players Unite in Organizing

Mark's plan is the only viable option I have heard for a sustainable future for professional pool in the U.S. that does not rely on sponsors or promoters having to keep adding money. Times are getting tough and will get worse before they get better IMO. The pool of added money from sponsors for tournaments is going away. This plan minimizes the impact of that and most importantly provides something pro pool needs more than anything : structure.

IMO he has the experience, knowledge, and resources to make it work if he has the support of the players and a fair shake from everyone else. There are still many questions and issues that have to be dealt with, but this is no small undertaking and it is not like he is asking for anything other than an open mind.

Let the man do what he does and then form an opinion. Till then I think posting "I heard...." does no one any good.

If Mark G. says he's going to do it, he will do it even if it ends up taking a beating in his bank account. He sure is stubborn, though... :bash:

He worked very hard to accumulate all that wealth and I already warned him about the possible beating he may take. He dismissed my advise.

I don't think you can put a price on pursuing one's PASSION. And that is what exactly it is. There are some people who have nothing better to do but sit around and complain/ponder about "how much richer Mark G. will become out of this deal..." without adding up all the expense of the tour and added money will come straight out of who's pocket? And ther are still no guarantee of success of the tour?

But the man wants to do what he's set out to do and I want to be on the front seat when the bus takes off!
