Pro Justa-Bridge Pro Justa-Bridge, anyone have one?

re: original aluminum powder coated 'Justabridge'

I may be wrong, but I thot the original ones (metal) had thick white felt inserts too.

I don't remember...it was stolen over 10 years ago..:mad::mad:

...generally a sign that the item was worth having, and therefore stealing.:(:(

A great product.

Be aware, tough to use with those long extendo telescoping 10 foot aluminum bridge handles....the ferrule/ tip rotates, so can't adjust bridge from 10 feet away. The collet that grips the tip, rotates to create the different bridge positions by a cam action, so the tip/ferrule must not also rotate.:confused:

Nope, originals had no felt. I still use the original for leagues, have a plastic one in the basement for home table. And no, it has never dented a shaft, it's very smooth, and I don't slam my shaft on the bridge. The alum one is much better, so if you can find one, grab it, but the plastic one is the second best bridge you can own.

I was on Larry's Bar League Team when he invented the 1st version,
crafted of Aluminum (no felt liners) and Anodized in various colors.
They were very labor intensive to manufacture, so the cost was $60.
The current version is Plastic, as Injection Molding is far cheaper to
mass produce and the Felt Liners really keep the Shaft steady while
shooting. I clean them with Denatured Alcohol periodically and carry
one in each of my Cases. Still the Best Bridge available, IMHO.

Str8..

Thanks...I stand corrected. Yes, anodized, not powder coated. Mine may have been blue or red...don't recall now.

I do have the current plastic model with felt. I like it a lot.

Been a while since I spoke to him...(re replacement felt) 5 or more years..seemed like a good guy. Trying to remember if he was a machinist??

I have in my head that he was out Sonora at some point...prob wrong there too.

Totally agree...great bridge.

I have used one for a long time. Don't like anything else as compared to it. The felt keeps the shafts from nicks etc... and is just an all around perfect bridge.
