Pro players who do not take competition too seriously?

I stumbled upon this match on youtube (after doing a search on a player from Romania, who is on their World Cup team, Robert Braga), and I never seen 2 pro's act so casual, as if they were not competing at all, and just having fun.

I just think that this type of match is more interesting to watch, instead of watching 2 emotionless robots playing against each other. I understand that these 2 guys are not elite pro's, but it appears that they are playing in front of many camera's (at all angles of the pool table), so I assume that it is some big tournament (maybe over in Eastern Europe somewhere). I love the look of that room they are playing in (looks very nice). I just wish that more players had more character (kind of like Earl Strickland, but in a fun way), while playing. Keith McCready comes to mind. Are there many players like that anymore? Do you agree that it would be more fun (as a member of the audience) to just not watch 2 emotionless robots shooting? Would it be better if they showed more emotion, and maybe laughed (and did other things, just so it would not be disrespectful to their opponent, like sharking for example)?

Guy in the grey shirt looked to be the only one that was having "fun", I am guessing his first time on a table with cameras so he is not sure how to act with a camera on him. Don't really see anything that would hint they were not taking this seriously aside from that.

Maybe.....

Funny stuff there about Earl.

I think over the last couple of years Albin Ouschan has looked about as laid back as any pro player I have watched. Seems to work for him.

Yeah, those two are more fun to watch than Dennis and SVB shooting over .940 and showing little emotion.
Not!

Scott Frost seems to always be enjoying himself.

I like how he never complains or makes excuses either.

Does anyone really care if the players are having "fun" ?? I'm sure it's a grind just like anything else, travel, sleeping in a hotel, eating out, etc. Yeah, I'm sure it's not like going to Disney World for most players. And not everyone can be as happy go lucky as "The Lion". Different strokes for different folks. I just want to see a good match, smiling or not, but that's just me.

Pro players, Justin?
Missing shots, especially when unused to being streamed, is forgivable....
....but continuously choosing the wrong shots shows lack of knowledge.

However, I agree with you about their attitude...pool halls with players like that are a
pleasure to hang around.

Dang Justin, I believe me and you could beat those 2 in a partner game. Did you notice the stocky boy chewing gum uses Blue Diamond chalk? It's the best !!!

I do not know if they are pro's, but one of them is playing on the World Cup team, for Romania. Yeah, they were making a lot of mistakes. I did not like how the camera guy would get right up close to the pocket they were shooting at. That would throw me off, but I am sure it would not bother most pro's out there.

Like i said, Justin, everybody misses, I'm not judging them for that.
...but not seeing a run-out pattern when they got a Cosmo kinda ranks them a little low.

I really do not know anything about chalk. I grew up always playing with Masters chalk. Never owned my own chalk. Never really cared to. Never thought the type of chalk a player uses was that big of a deal. I was really surprised at some of the really easy shots they were missing. I always think that if 2 players are playing in front of camera's, then they must at least be pretty decent. I do not know if that was a pro event. I was wrong about one of them. The guy chewing the gum seemed to be much more serious then then other guy (who laughed and smiled a lot while shooting).

Oh my, you've never given thought to chalk? You might need to think again Justin.
Chalk is the very 1st thing that contacts the CB.
Next time you see someone using Blue Diamond, ask 'em to let you try it.
It could be the one thing that's missing from the cues you try!
