You bought it? Can't blame you, it is a beauty! How about a review when you've had the chance to try it out, I'm also interested in Dmitry's cues. I'm particularly interested in the performance of that hornbeam shaft.

@mrmyst
sorry to disappoint you, but the shaft that comes with my cue is black hornbeam / laminated maple!

but i'll write a review anyway!

I'm one who's eagerly waiting for such a review...

Jule Thanks for trust. It is very pleasant for me to see new avatar.:) I am very much excited with forthcoming tests.

If you are interested in hornbeam shaft that I can offer my own cue. I have made this cue in August 2004. The cue almost like new as played seldom. Basically I used it for tests just hornbeam shaft. In a result the taper of the shaft became thin enough but shaft has remained quite steady and stiff.

I hope this isn't redundent I didn't read all the posts. Your cues look great, they remind me of the cues Keith Hansen built in the 80s. and that's a good thing.

Thank you very much for this offer, I sent you an e-mail regarding this cue. It looks very nice indeed!

Ok, I promised you a little review - so there it is:

Prologue:
Its true what some people say: You don't find the cue of your dreams, it finds you!
I really (!) didn't plan to buy a new cue, but when I saw it, all resistance was futile! I just had to have it! I longingly stared at those pictures all day long and I suddenly realized that I couldn't bare the thought of someone else having it any longer!

Trade:
I can't think of a better trading partner than Dmitry! He's always super-friendly, almost always answers within one day and is extremely competent, anxious, humorous, courteous, regardful... well... just perfect!
Although the trade was rather adventurous, I always felt perfectly confident about it.
The whole trade was completed within only three weeks and therefore faster than any trade I ever made with local cuemakers :-D !
Nothing would have been possible without Simple! He didn't only help me to transfer the money to Russia, but also received the cue for me at 3 a.m. (!) at the railway station in Hannover. Simple, I really can't thank you enough!!!

The Cue:
I don't have to tell you about the simply breathtaking looks of this cue! Just look at those pictures of Dmitry!
Let me just tell you this: Are those points sharp? YESSSSSS, Sir!

But the best surprise and the "big hit" is the way it plays! It's just... unforeseeably awesome! It's the hardest piece of wood I ever got my hands on! With every shot it makes this wonderful, clear "tonngg"-like sound: Almost heavenly (pool-) music in my ears! It's perfectly balanced and almost follows through the cue ball all by itself. Dmitry told me, he tested the cue several times on the table during the production, to ensure it hits the way he wants it to. I don't think, you'll get this when you buy a production cue... :-)
The great grip I get from the MooriM is the perfect compensation for the extreme stiffness and ensures a great performance when it comes to working with the cue ball. Because the shaft is laminated just like a Blackdot, I use it like one and after ample deflection tests I find it's deflection very similar the one I get from my old USS-LS shaft.
On Friday I played my best pool ever with this cue and it was just awesome!!!

So I'm really 100% happy and satisfied and I would gladly recommend Dmitry Komarov and his masterpieces to everyone anytime!
