Ok, so I'm working on my break and using the breakspeed app! Here is my dilemma, most of my breaks are approximately 21-23 mph!!! BUT, everytime I feel like I'm crushing them, the app speed shows between 6-8mph???? Wtf!!!!!! I know I'm hitting them harder than that!!! Anybody have this problem, or do I just break horrible??? Thanks

It has to do with the app selecting the wrong 'peaks' in the audio signal. You can go into 'edit result' and move the selected peaks to get your real result. It's a pain, but it works.

I tries that steev, it won't let me set the peaks where I want to!!! This kinda sucks! I'd like to know if I'm getting to 24mph! Not that that isworld class, but makes me feel good about my break!!!

It works very well, every once in awhile you get a bad read. Though it does work in a noisy environment the quieter the better. I've recorded in the high 22's consistently keep at it. We both however are in exclusive territory so don't be to hard on yourself your doing better than most people could ever hope to. Also, make sure your breaking for speed and control. My best speed with consistent control planting the cueball in the middle of the table is at 21.5 so keep at it.

Yep, if you are at 24, you be doing good.

In a hall are you? Maybe picking up another break?

OK, so not wanting to derail but one Question. I have used this one but don't have it installed on my Galaxy.

There is Break Speed on Google Play and one on Predator.

Does anyone have a preference or are they both one and the same.

You can expand the graph

The first time I had this problem, I went to the graph but could not move the sliders close enoug together to hit the two peaks. Then I figured out how to expand the graph to get the peaks far enough apart that the sliders could be adjusted. Just swipe from the bottom up on the graph to expand it.

I look for the top speed I can control.

Mine seems a bit off. I hit 'em pretty hard and can't get over 17 mph.
My average speed is about that(17 mph). If I hit the head ball square and squat whitey I am satisfied with that. Accuracy is worth more than speed IMHO.

What?

Ummm ... There's an app for that? How do I find it? Searching on my Android phone yielded no results.

Thanks

Here is a thought.....I had the same problem, and what I realized is that when I hot them really good and dead center, the cue ball would jump about a foot into the air and then land on the table. I think the app is trying to calculate the sound of the cue ball hitting the rack, and then hitting the table. Know what I mean?
