Problems uploading pictures

Perhaps I can help.
Open the Windows Menu on your computer.
Open Accessories
Open Paint program
Load a photo
Click on Image in the drop down menu area.
Select Attributes
Select Pixel and set to 600 or smaller
Select File
Save As a jpg file
Upload to Photobucket like you did before

Select the Image option under the photo and the code will be placed on the clipboard

Use Shift Insert to place on the forum and the image wll be displayed with no side scroll

Hope that helps. There are similar ways with other photo editors. The idea is to resize before you upload. About 600 pixels is the max acceptable screen width on the forum for no side scroll.

That'll work. Thanks for the Paint suggestion. I did used to use Paint when uploading my photo files to AzBilliards, but since we can't upload anymore, I did go to Photobucket. Now I will have to reduce the pixels using Paint before I put them in my Photobucket account. There sure are a lot of steps involved now to get a picture on the forum, but as with all things, it hopefully will become easier with repeated use.

oops that should be select image then select "Attributes" then set the pixels. I will edit the post above.

Too much work to post a picture, from what I've read... Guess I'll just have to post links. Sheesh.... Can't they fix this?

Much easier IMHO

If and when things get back to normal.

I use the Microsoft Power Toys for Windows XP Resizer found here. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

First find the pic you want to post and right click on the pic, click resize and chose medium size and click OK. This will create a new resized copy.

Next go back to the thread you want to post in click post reply, quote or start new thread then scroll down and click on manage attachments. Browse for your resized pic and upload.

Next just above the window where you type your message find and click on the small paper clip icon. Your pic description should drop down and click on it and the pic should attach to your post.
