Problems uploading pictures

I hope the problem that is preventing folks from posting pictures directly is fixed. I suspect it is
the same problem that is preventing avatars to be changed. It is obviously due to the migration
to a new server, and somewhere, there is a permission problem.
The good thing about posting pictures directly, is that they become "part" of the site, and maintained
along with the site. If photobucket, or other image hosting sites are down or go away, the pictures
will no longer appear.

That is good to know, then. I have a 19-inch monitor on my desktop, and for some reason, I have to scroll from left to right to read the message as well as see the picture.
As well, at the top of this forum, the two advertising banners and AzBilliards logo appear on two separate lines, which takes up one-third of the top of my screen. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

The size of the monitor you use has no bearing on how a page is displayed. The resolution
that your display is set to, (X number of pixels, by Y number of pixels) is what really matters.
But it sounds like there are some issues on the new server that need to be addressed.

I run at a 1400x1050 resolution.

Well, until they fix whatever is causing the banners to be stacked on multiple lines, all I can
suggest is that you change your display settings to a higher resolution.
This will indirectly reduce the size of everything, and allow you to get more on your display.
This is of course assuming that your graphics card and monitor are capable of running at
a higher resolution.

your browser or system to use larger than normal fonts.
But the "multiple banner lines" issue is a little more complex, and depends on lots of things, such
as the browser, the code that generates the web page, etc.

The AzBilliards logo banner looks as if it doesn't line up correctly when it is dropped below. The orange-white-and-blue lines do not line up with the orange-white-and-blue lines which are directly above it.

I would try bumping up the resolution to 1268x1024 and at least you will get a little more
screen space, but the letters will be a little smaller. Don't be worried if the color quality jumps
down to 24-bit (truecolor), which may happen depending on how much memory that your
graphics card has. Again, I suspect that the problem with the stacked banners will be fixed by
the site maintainers, and you may still have that problem if/when you try the 1268x1024 resolution.

Someone has access to your account. That magical stuff just doesn't happen without a cause. And it's gotta be someone who either knows you or knows you on this forum. How else would the kind of pictures you found be there?

It was so hot last week when we were sightseeing. My nephew, who is in the Army doing drills every day, has zero body fat and is in tip-top shape, and my brother (his dad) is an ex-Marine who does 100 pushups and situps every single day. So here we are, walking around in 100-degree heat on the Mall.
After about one hour, my gait slowed down, and I couldn't keep up with them. I began to walk 20 paces from behind, got dizzy, and had shortness of breath. My face became the color of a beet-red lobster. I guess I don't get out much, but one hour in that sweltering heat was enough for me!

I know all about DC heat. When it's hot and humid there, relief won't be found under a tree, and in any case, there are few of them on the mall.
During WWI, I heard that British soldiers stationed in DC over one summer received hardship pay... That ought tell us something.

You are so right about D.C. humidity. It is brutal. This coming week is supposed to be horrible. When the heat gets as high as the RED zone, the Metro (subway) rides are FREE to all, which is kind of cool. I went out today and took the dog for a short 10-minute walk up and down the hills in Chevy Chase. By the time we got home, we were both panting.
Here's another cool shot taken on the Mall in D.C. The World War II Memorial is a sight to behold. There is a monument represeting all 52 Statse as well as the territories, to include District of Columbia which was a pleasant surprise to this native Washingtonian.
I'm going to try to link it this time using something other than Photobucket. Hope it works:

Of course, now when I try to use Photobucket, I get this message:
