Problems with Meucci

I haven't heard much from the normal herd of Meucci nuthuggers that frequent this forum.

I lived in Memphis and heard lots of horror stories from former employees, including Bob charging a fee to cash their checks to not paying them for periods of time.

He made millions selling these cues, literally.

Screwing a guy in wheelchair out of shafts....yep he is a class act.

The wood that goes into the making of a Meucci would be better used if turned into toilet paper. Just flat out sorry construction if you ask me.

Stopped selling Meucci Cues in March of 2010, returns had to be postage paid by the shipper with no refund. After the third time sending back one particular cue, three weeks later, I called to find out where the cue was and Meucci used it to fulfill another order, lmao, wow........ a pure Paul Harvey moment. Then they sent me another model to replace the model my customer ordered ??, it was straight though, but, the forearm fogged up and another cue maker found about 45 small holes drilled in through the plastic forearm as probably just filling the whole thing with glue ??, I don't make cues, so this was just a guess. Big shame, loved selling Meucci cues until it became apparent that customers were hating me for selling them. Done deal, sad way to end a many year dealership with them. The great thing that came out of it, tracked down Mike Erwin of Erwin Custom Cues and found two great people between Mike ( sadly has passed on ) and his son Scott. Wish more people would check out Scott Erwin as a excellent repair person and cue maker. Very solid mean hitting cues come out of his place.

Yep, I totally agree with worktheknight on this one. Scott Erwin could probably fix the shafts for a good price and avoid the hassle of meucci. I had meucci refurb an Original several years ago and it took over one year to get it back.
