I am so blown away from this cue, that I have to share my story.

a few weeks ago, i purchased from kevin, a varney J/B cue. nothing fancy. a sneaky with a phenolic tip. as many of you know, i have been buying and selling low to very high end cues for years. have have seen and tried EVERYTHING on the planet. every maker, tip, shaft, joint, ect. BAR NONE, the best jump/break cue, hands down. 2nd place isn't even close. this cue has given me the game to be at least a ball better or more easy. i have been playing pool most of my life. at my age (35) and my speed (low A), big gains in your game come very slow. to have this simple cue do SO much is just incredible.

i have never bought a cue from him before.
i don't know him.
i bought one cause i have heard nothing but rave reviews.
i had to try one for myself.

you should try one too.........

i'm so glad i did :)

Coming from you, it must be good.

Chris

i've tried quite a few break cues myself also, and my Varney is by far and away the best. not to say the others arent good either, but my varney just seems to have what i can only describe as raw power.

definitely recommended.

I bought this cue from varney last week and MAN what a difference in my game, 4.2oz shaft and it hits like nuthin i ever owned. He was quick and prompt to on the transaction...i bought this cue b/c of the " simple " look and matte finish. I have nuthin but raves for varney.

I like mine. Liked the first one I had more as it was about 1oz lighter. Nice j/b.

Gonna have to agree... I bought one of Kevin's J/B cues a few years ago, and loved it. Balance, weight, feel - and that nasty 'smack' ! I stopped shooting for a while (hand injury) and just started again. I actually put my Varney J/B for sale here and planned on ordering a new one - a little more 'flashy'. Kevin talked me out of it. My J/B does a perfect job every time, why change it? So... I'm discussing a new hustler with him now. I definately recommend the Varney J/B, and hope to be recommending a Varney Hustler in the near future!

I am very proud to see Mr. Varney getting the recognition he deserves. Now the world is seeing what Charlotte & NC already knew Varney Cues are the complete nuts. KV's cues are all that is in my case and all that will ever be in my case. I laid down a very nice and expensive Nubs Wagner Nova cue when KV said try this. I was floored. I could no longer play with my steel joint Nova. His cues have gave me more confidence and made me a better player. I look forward to my next Varney.

How can I get more information on the j/b cue.
Does he have a web site?

no, but he is a very frequent poster on this forum.
click on his name on a post that he's made (like earlier in this post), then choose the private message option.
i'm positive he would take an order for you.
