Professional cue repair lathe bought from tsp&b

Looks like you and Brain71 need to get together and make somethin' happen.

I guess with Rusty, Nolan, Preston, Mike Derouen, GreyGhost, "Heritage cues," Gary Medlin, Gerald's amusment and whoever else has popped up around there within 60 miles that there are more than enough tip guys in the area?
Tough to make it work at $10/pop.

Good luck with the sale. Nice-lookin' machine.

Is this lathe still for sale or what?
What is the bed length?
Is it an AC or DC motor drive?
Through spindle bore diameter?
Thanks Neil

First $1,000 takes this lathe with everything shown in the picture. I used this lathe for about a year to replace tips and no longer want to do it. The only thing wrong is on the screw to tighten the tailstock and large steady rest they had plastic knobs to twist that broke off, I'm sure they can be replaced very easy. Comes with over 100 tips water buffalos, elkmaster, triangle, lepro, super pro, and one tiger jump break tip. Shaft sealer, center drills, taps, collets, black phenolic ferrules, foot control, allen wrenches, cue wax, ferrule cleaner, digital calipers. Very good machine with enough tips to get your money back.

rusty as far as I know doesn't even touch his equipment last he tolld me but thats been a min since we talked last......geralds amusment has been doing tip work for years an was the reason I started doing my own well over a decade ago. Gary Meddlin is quite a ways away in Lake Charles, so he doesn't even count imop he out of area.

Alot of people know about Mike, and he does great work obviously but I've been getting a bit and hearing that he's pretty booked up at the moment.

Theres plenty of action on the lathe to be found around here.

Just had two fellas a day or two ago come over and spend a bill on repair work with me. Sold 6 cues in the last month in the area.

I also have a couple of refinishes to do.....

I don't know but to me there's plenty out there, but if your not Gary or Mike people aren't beating down your door to get to your product......you got to get out there and beat the pavement.

Been doing sales and pool for a minute so I guess its just right up my alley, but like I said theres plenty out there you just got to put your self out there and get to it.

Just like with the lessons....I been putting myself out there more locally and am gaining interest everyday.

Who are you by the way sneakypete? I'm keebie if you don't know already, I might have to take a look at what you got.....possibly interested.

no one wants it probably b/c the spindle bore is a smaller I.D. ..........what were you using to tighten the wing nuts with channel locks? lol (easily replaced)

I think this is why it's not selling, the knob is plastic. Makes the peice seem unreliable. I would replace the knob yourself, so you don't have to mention that it was weak, plastic parts...it's a turn off. I think, wll if that isn't a quality knob, what else on the lathe isn't quality. Just tryin to help. good luck.

Well I can tell you Todd and his Lathes are top notch. I have one and use the hell out of it. Never had any trouble with the knobs or any part on the lathe. Hell I did some upgrades and now building cues with this lathe. So now I would like to ask what lathe are you using for repairs and or building cues on?

Im waiting in a custom cue lathe from bassel actually. I wasn't insinuating that his lathes arent top notch in any way, I was just simply saying that if it's easy to repair a broken knob, then do it before you put it up for sale, it makes the product easier to sell. I know I dont like to buy things that have broken pieces, it always just makes me wonder. Just sayin.

I bought the lathe from him almost a month ago and I still haven't gotten it. Starting to wonder if I have been had. I sent a money order 3 weeks ago and it has been cashed. Got one PM saying he sent it via usps but will not provide me a tracking number.
