Promotional Idea for a Poolroom

Last night me and my friends went to our local bowling alley for something they call "sloppy bowling". I thought it was a good idea that might work for a pool hall in some places as well. At the door they take 10 bucks from each person and give you a card redeemable for 5 beers and you get to bowl as many games as you want from 10-12. They have this promotion every Sunday, and in a place like Indiana where a lot of bars are closed on Sunday it draws in a huge crowd especially local college students. Maybe this idea wouldn't work in a pool context, but I thought I'd just throw it out there.

They have that around here. They call it "Beer Bowling". You pay ten dollars, and get a wristband. You show your wristband and drink and bowl from 10-1(or 2, can't remember). Pretty cheap, don't know how they make any money.

Not unlike the basic "Free pool" promos you see (for a few hours during the slowest days of the week usually)

The beer card thing is a gimmick, the idea is the same though... they come in and play for free but you get a few bucks when they pay for beer (or food, or whatever else is sold). Maybe the card is a good idea because they are committed to 10 bucks worth of beers right from the get-go, and they may choose not to redeem all 5. And the promise of "free" beer has gotta entice people even if it's not technically free. Probably it makes people subconsciously think that there will be a nice party atmosphere with plenty of people, like happy hour.
