It's impressive to me. If you did one duplicating or surpassing CJ's then I'd be equally impressed. To me it seems like downplaying it is kind of sour grapes.
John, I'm not "downplaying it". I'm simply putting it in it's proper perspective. Yes, it is impressive, as I clearly stated. It is not awe inspiring like you make it out to be.
I mean on the 14.1 forum there is a list of 200+ ball runners because the folks who take 14.1 serious know that that is a good milestone and there are not that many people on the planet who have done it.
I disagree with you that there are many people who can do much more than that. I think that like running 200 balls there are actually NOT that many people who can do it. It's an elite group.
Nice red herring, you been studying under "English!" or something? Where did I say anything about 14.1?? Why even bring up something that wasn't mentioned at all, and then debate it in the very same post??
Jay ran his one pocket challenge for years at the Derby and the best anyone did was Gabe Owens with a 60 in five racks. Maybe someone can dig up a list of what the pros did but I doubt that there were very many of them running 15s consecutively.
Quite a few did 15's. Yes, the high was around 60. TWICE of what you are in awe of with CJ. (and, no telling how many attempts it took CJ to get it on film)
It's fine if you disagree with CJ I know you don't like him. You can hate whoever you want to hate but what you can't do is take away what they have accomplished. You might be able to match it and establish yourself in the same class but you can't erase or negate what he did simply because you can do it too.
Again, making up stuff and declaring it as fact. I don't hate CJ. I don't know if I like him or not, never met him. But, if he is in person like he is on here, I probably wouldn't give him the time of day. No one is trying to erase his history. Why would you even say something like that? In his day, he was a great player. Today, not so. From what I have seen and heard of his playing lately, a number of shortstops can beat him right now. It is what it is. That doesn't take away from what he has done at all. No more than it does with Keith. He doesn't play anymore either. He also can't play like he did in his prime. Doesn't take away what he did do in his prime at all.
It's like Earl, hated for his outbursts but the man still has the hardware to back up his playing level. People can nitpick all they want but he won those tournaments and racked up those trophies and that's in the books.
