Yesterday I was serching random things on the site, and I found a list of Pro's on tour and their coresponding cues, I told someone that tonight I would bring them the list, but I cannot remember what I had searched in the forums to find the list, if someone knows the list I am talking about can you please post it here for me.

You know, it's somewhat ironic and prophetic that most professionals are not cue enthusiasts. I mean, most of the players listed are using Predator shafts and/or cues or some other production cue.

I wonder how many of those players are sponsored to use those cues. The custom guys--I would think--lack capacity to sponsor top pros. They probably sell all they make already.

Just a guess.

You are right - most custom cue makers do not have the deep pockets to be able to sponsor a pro. But the big production shops like cuetec can furnish "their" pros cues, shafts and have a financial arrangement (salary, expenses --- whatever is negotiated).

I played with Keith McCready many years ago and ran into him several times over the last 25 years, he and I discussed a couple cues to his specs, I built them, he likes them, he plays with them. I guess I get to play a little when he does!!!

any pro knows that he can play just as well with a 50.00 Dufferin as a
2000.00 custom regardless what any cuemaker would have you believe

Pay em enough and they'll play with a broomstick

You know Strickland's fiberglass cuetec shaft's seem to get blue, like a normal wood shaft?

he had the fiberglass taken off down to the wood...

...and then he smashed it!

The book "the 99 critical shots in pool" says that Ray Martin and Jim Rempe play with a Balabushka.

I took a lesson from Ray Martin and hit some with his cue at his house in Florida back in '99--it was a Schon. As a matter of fact, the hit of his Schon is one of the main reasons why I play with a Schon now.

That book was written quite some time ago, I dont have a copy in front of me to give you an exact year...... but it has been reprinted.

Yes, indeed, Ray Martin DID play with a bushka. In fact, the cue was a collectors dream since the cue had SO MUCH history attached to it.

Apparently, the cool cat need some dough last year, and sold the cue to Joel Shapiro (the master) in NY.

I have a copy in front of me now. My copy was printed in 1993, but the original copyright was dated 1977 by Ray Martin and Rosser Reeves.

I play with a Schon also...with a firm tip (Triangle), it feels so sweet...it's just right, the perfect amount of stiffness.

1977 is correct, here is my first edition.

Does any one know what cues Mike Massey, Fransisco Bustamente, Stephano Polinga, and Jeanette Lee play with?????
Buste & Massey were listed on page 1.

14/Bustamante, Francisco- Bear, Predator(?)
91/Massey, Mike- Schuler, original shaft

Rempe is/was representing Meucci, so I doubt he would play with anything else in public.

Stefano Pelinga's website lists him as a Longoni user.

Can't find anything on Jeanette.
