I was thinking about this, and I thought it would be a nice idea to add players equipment's and what they actually use, to the azbilliard page. I see threads frequently where people ask, what tip does efren uses, what shaft does dennis orcollo uses. And even though most of these questions are found on the internet somewhere, it would be nice to gather all the information's into one place for people that would like to know these information's.

Pool pro's have fans, and fans sometimes would like to know what their favorite players uses, so thats why I think it's nice, and for a site like azbilliards, I don't think this is impossible to do and maintain, some of the users in here even knew the players personally, so I think a pro's profile can be updated frequently if the pro changes his/her equipment.

Things that are nice to be added there are.

Their butt of use.
Their shaft of use.
Their tip of use.
Weight of their cue.

I'm sure more can be added, but these are the main info's on the top of my head.

I just checked Earl Strickland Profile page and it only says under equipment "Mike Gullysay" I know his cue is made by him but doesn't say any other info, like his favorite tip or shaft or weight of the cue, etc.

I agree wholeheartedly.

However, it requires someone to do this documentation. The lack of money in pool doesn't help this.

That would definitely be a fun thing to put together.

Whenever I meet a pro and they seem approachable, I try to ask about their equipment. I've collected a bunch of info over the years, but most of it is out-of-date because I see them playing with different cues now, so I think it would be tough to keep the list up to date.

Also some players change gear quite often, so unless we're good friends, I feel kind of hesitant to come up and ask all the same questions again and again.

Another thing I've found is that some players surprisingly have no idea about the cue's weight (just heavy or light), shaft diameter or tips. Oftentimes it's just whatever came with the cue they got from their sponsor.

I thought that info was already on the Pro's page (or it used to be anyway...). Their sponsor, website, cue info, etc. Of course, it was only as good as the last time it was updated.
