It was a proud weekend at Rounceville Woodworks,
John Davis made the trip over from Chicago and we worked together to build a couple 360 style blanks
It was a pleasure to welcome this legend of the trade into my home and spend the weekend working together
I hope to do this many more times in the future

They look REAL nice but honestly, I have never heard of him. Obviously I am not a big stick man.

Oh man, can't wait for my wife to get home so i can show her this!
"See, honey, all the good woodworkers kitchen's are (ahem) 'works in progress' "

Love the cues.

WOW!, so many questions a picture has, for now though, awesome.

...to the many more times to.

Can't imagine who would not wish they could spend time with this legend, especially considering the history or his background and the people he worked with a supplied. I understood he was still working, but kind of thought he'd be a lot older, lol.

Curious about your note, though - has he given up his own shop? Or just close enough it is easy for both of you to get together for mutual inspiration and support. If there's any cheap-but-nice motels or B & B's near your shop, you guys could put together a limited enrollment weekend seminar at some point & it would probably sell out fast. Give it enough lead time so people could say "heck yeah, I can clear my calendar for that"

I met John Davis at his shop and had a great time there. He is a legend and there are only a handful of his generation left in the business. His shop is like he is. Set up is perfect for him, it's close to home and like him it works just fine. For all the accolades one could say about him he is just a down to earth old school guy. My hats off to him as a cue maker and a gentleman!

Built Burton Spains blank-building fixtures and took over Burton’s business when Spain first retired.

One of three cuemakers to supply George Balabushka with blanks.

When he returned to buidling cues, InsidePOOL did an article on him. A really good one :)

Freddie <~~~ shameless

Thanks but How'd he do that and look younger than me? Never mind.

John Davis has certainly been a big part of cue making

To have made blanks for George Balabushka is something

Did he make these 360 style blanks from first to last /

There is real beauty in the 360,Brunswick really did contribute
to our sport
