Just shipped this breaker to China and thought I would share how I made a
100% PH cue with some character. The forearm and butt sleeve are from
quartersawn PH and the handle is curly PH which is a little darker than the
quartersawn PH. The joints are Juma with PH rings. The shaft is--you guessed it--PH with a G-10 ferrule and Samsara J/B tip.. Cue weighs 19.2 ounces.

Very nice

Great looking breaker Bob! I am in the later stages of building a break cue right now. In fact I need to PM you about it.

It looks great, Bob.

I remember you once said to me a 100% purpleheart cue would be heavy and would be 21+oz. what did you do to make it 19.2? Just my curiosity.

Cuong.

I love it!!!! I love purple heart!

My breaker is also all purple heart. My player and jumper both have purple heart handles. I know that some folks don't like the look of purple heart, but the stuff plays amazing! I'm very happy with my stuff, and I'm sure Paul will be happy with his! Great job!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

A PH cue made entirely of curly PH will weigh several ounces more than one
made from quarter sawn PH. With that in mind I only used curly PH in the handle sleeve. I also, with Paul's permission (full disclosure) I drilled a 1/2" hole,
using a gun drill, from the butt end to about 1/3 of the way up the handle. I then filled the hole with construction foam and plugged the hole with a 1/2" dowel that was epoxied in place. You can remove about 2 ounces of weight this way (depending on the core wood which in this case was PH) and not
effect the playability of the cue. Bob Flynn/Denali Pool Cues

Looking good buddy, I'll be sure to check with Paul how much he likes it.

Hey Bob,

If you look up break cue in websters dictionary there should be a pic of this cue.
