Putting on ferrule

Hello,

I just got a one piece Titlist, but it needs a new ferrule.

Should I take this job on? If there was a cue guy close I would have them do it, but there isn't.

I have been using a Williard tipper to do tips, starting on house cues and working my way up. Have a South Bend Heavy 10 that I use for metal work. I have been thinking about using it for cues too. I do have an old house cue that needs a ferrule that I could practice on.

Any input is appreciated!

Might wanna have a steady rest to hold that 57" long house cue at the rear .
Or it'll flop like a fish out of water. :eek:
 
It would help if you could tell us where you live. There may be a repair man near you. It will take more specialized equipment than you have...JER

I'm close to Peoria; wasn't Dave setting up a shop there, or did he sell his lathe? :rolleyes:

Joey, thanks! If it was a shaft I could put a bushing on the end of the spindle, but you are right, I don't think an entire cue sticking out would be a good thing. might look like I was turning cooked spaghetti for a second. There is a VNEA tournament in Peoria in April that might have a repair booth.
